I wanted to recycle an old hide-a-bed with a very heavy steel frame and mattress. Rather than taking the hide-a-bed to a landfill I checked out available local companies for recyling. Initial estimates for drop-off/pick-up ranged from $50-65. Colorado Recycling Services' (CRS) estimate came in substantially lower: $18. Hours for drop-off included Saturday, which was fairly unique. I dropped the hide-a-bed on Saturday and was charged just $15. Curbside pick-up would have been $35. Don Johnson, the company owner, gave an interesting overview of their services. CRS specializes in hard to recycle items like carpet, mattresses, couches, box springs, and fire alarms. Don was professional in demeanor and very helpful. I will definitely use CRS recycle services in the future.
