I called and left a message on Ryan's cell phone on September 6th. He did not return my call. I sent an e-mail on September 17th requesting the work be completed and Ryan responded that it should not be a problem to complete the flashing on the chimney at the roof line and on the chimney cap. The work was not completed that week so I sent another e-mail September 24th. Ryan called in response and said a layer of shingles would be removed and the flashing would be installed and new shingles would be put on. He also said he would have his guys look at the one boot that needed to be replaced.
I received and e-mail from Ryan on September 26th saying that the work was complete. I went up on the roof the next week and could not see any new flashing. I have pictures but could not figure out how to attach. There was a new boot and a very poor silicon caulking job on the existing flashing on the chimney. I sent an e-mail to Ryan on October 4th letting him know it did not look like any work was done. He said he would go out and take pictures of the work that was done. He also said his guys said they installed new flashing underneath the existing flashing, as well as water and ice shield and that the counter flashing was not installed due to the age of the chimney.
I never received pictures from Ryan showing that the work was done. They did come and install counter flashing. The corners were not connected and the counter flashing they installed was used, as evident by chipping or entirely missing paint. They did install a new ~1-1/2" rubber boot.
