Artisan Kitchen & Bath Design

I used ARTISAN KITCHEN AND BATH DESIGN

1.  We contracted with CostCo because our homework showed that Artisan was cost competitive with Home Depot and other suppliers for equivalent quality cabinets and in addition supplied the kitchen design support, provided skilled workers, and coordinated all phases of the work.  We would not have chosen this arrangement if we had known that CostCo would have AmEx bill us for the entire job even before the cabinets were delivered.  However, neither Artisan nor Front Range were paid by CostCo until we signed our approval of the entire effort. 2.  Our initial phone inquiry was responded to after some delay by a salesman from Front Range who met with us to understand the job, describe the Front Range/Artisan/CostCo process, take preliminary measurements, and accept a $150 payment for kitchen design support.  We then met with Artisan’s kitchen designer Bonnie who with considerable expertise helped us arrive at a kitchen design, select MidContinent cabinets along with door styles and finish, and a category of granite countertops.  A few days later we signed three contracts with CostCo  -- for the cabinets, for the renovation and installations, and for the countertops. 3.   In about three weeks the cabinets were delivered.  Inspection showed two damaged cabinets and some damaged pieces;  these rapidly were replaced by the manufacturer.   Lisa Keller, Artisan’s general manager, worked very effectively in coordinating all phases of the job, starting by contracting with Mike and Shawn for the tearout, prep and installations work.   They worked hard and very conscientiously with outstanding results. 4. We met with Front Range Stone to select granite from its very large supply.  After the new  cabinets were installed, Front Range constructed a computer-based template by taking laser measurements.  In ten days, longer than I thought necessary, the granite countertops were delivered in four pieces.  The installation was done with reasonably inconspicuous seams, and the countertops were cleaned and sealed.  We discovered two long but shallow surface cracks that Front Range then had expertly filled with acrylic and polished .5. Every staff person and worker that we met at ARtisan and Front Range were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We are very satisfied with all aspects of the final product, particular the overall layout and the quality of the cabinets and the installation work.  Credit for this result is due to Artisan for Bonnie’s design expertise, Mike and Shawn’s capabilities and conscientiousness, and Lisa Keller’s very fine management and coordination work.
