In short, the Riccar vacuum is fantastic performer, durable and can be maintained to function the same as when the Riccar was new by the All Ray’s team! If you are willing to risk being more than favorably impressed as well as delighted , go introduce yourself to the All Ray’s Vacuum sales/service team and try the Riccar vacuum(s). 1. Riccar Vacuum - USA made My previous vacuum did not, even with proper maintenance and only weekly vacuuming (a very heavy vacuum that I bought in 1995), never retained the same vacuuming performance through time as when the vacuum was new. I went in search for a new vacuum. In 2012, only All Ray's Vacuum [on South Broadway] sold the U.S.-made Riccar ultralight. When purchasing a new vacuum, I observed that the Riccar ultralight vacuum better performed during in-store testing demonstrations than other vacuums - e.g., Oreck and Royal.  Further, only the Riccar brand vacuum was made in U.S. - i.e., Oreck had been bought by the Japanese, and the Royal had been acquired by the Chinese. [For added perspective:  in approximately 1990, I bought a 4-HP canister vac that has performed in an exceptional manner but that will have to be trashed when the vacuum needs replacement parts -- because the vacuum manufacturer was bought by another overseas company that does not sell replacement parts in the U.S.] In my home, I vacuum daily.  The Riccar vacuum's quality of performance and durability are extraordinary! My 20-year-old carpet continues to fluff up like when the carpet was new! 2. Maintenance.   Any new gadget - e.g., stereo equipment, automobiles and vacuums. can only sustain years of exceptional performance under high demand, daily use if the gadget can be properly maintained. After 4 years of essentially daily vacuuming [that is equivalent to over 23 years of weekly vacuuming], my carpeting was  no longer fluffing up with each pass of my Riccar vacuum.  Vacuum maintenance was needed:       Michael Wadsworth [All Ray's Vacuum] completed both a comprehensive and very cost-effective maintenance in a manner that restored my well-used Riccar vacuum to both the aesthetic and functional/performance equivalents of the vacuum when it was new. I am so grateful that I found a supra-lite, durable little workhorse in my U.S.-manufactured Riccar vacuum. I am even more grateful that the vacuum can, with proper maintenance by Michael Wadsworth (All Ray's Vacuum) continue to perform like a new vacuum through the life of the Riccar vacuum’s motor. This customer is sold on both the Riccar vacuum and the All Ray’s service team led by Michael Wadsworth.

I am so happy with the timely and professional service I received at All Ray's Vacuum and Sewing! Not only did they have the required parts, but they did the work while I waited. I was in and out of their store to get on with my day. I highly recommend this contact to anyone needing service on a sewing machine! I called them about a minor sewing machine repair and they were friendly on the phone and willing to do it. I brought my old Singer sewing machine in and they not only fixed it on the spot but they showed me how to fix it myself if it should ever happen again. They graciously did this at no charge. We couldn't be more pleased and will bring the sewing machine back for all future service. I will also bring our vacuum cleaners there when the time comes. It was well worth the drive from Parker.

After speaking with All Ray's Vacuums and  Sewing Machine shop on the phone, I was advised to drop in for an evaluation of my "broken" sewing machine.  I may have to leave it overnight, or it may just need a small adjustment.  When I arrived at the shop, Don evaluated my machine and showed me how a small part of the bobbin case had become misaligned.  He put in back in place, showing me how to do it, and tested the machine to make sure it works.  He also graciously looked up the serial number of the machine and discovered it was manufactured by Singer Co in 1953-54.  Since it was passed down to me by my grandmother, I was grateful for this information.  No fee was charged for this "office visit".  Thanks, Don, for your professional work.

The belt changing was the third time I have worked with All Rays.  I went in two summers ago to look at vacuum cleaners and test drive them - something you just can't do in the "big box" stores.  The guys were very helpful and spent quite a bit of time with me.  I have two cats so I really need a good vacuum...but couldn't afford the Rolls Royce of vacuums.  I brought home one and spent a few weeks using it.  I had never heard that you shouldn't really let the beater brush sit on same spot for awhile (while you use an attachment) but I think I read it somewhere and go a bit spooked.  So when I used the new vacuum I set it down on its side.  What a pain!  After a few weeks I decided I wasn't happy with the vacuum cleaner and took it back in.  I explained what I wanted and the guys showed me a new Riccar that had a knob to push to turn off the beater bar.  However, once again I could not afford a new one.  They showed me a reconditioned one that was for sale and I took it.  That was nearly two years ago and the vacuum cleaner has been terrific.
I'll be going back to All Rays to get the vacuum cleaned up and tuned up.  I would recommend these guys to everyone.

VERY FAST TURN AROUND SERVICE AND VERY COURTEOUS PERSONNEL.

I TOOK MY GRANDMOTHER SEWING MACHINE IN TO THEIR STORE. THEY SAID THEY WOULD LOOK AT IT FOR FREE AND GET BACK TO ME THAT DAY. I WAS TOOK THAT IT NEED A NEW WIRING HAMESS TO THE FOOT CONTROL.
