TL;DR DO NOT USE 99 ROOTER. We were scammed out of $2000, with 3 huge holes in our home wall/ceiling still, problem still not fixed. Incompetent business management. Here’s the details: We have previously worked with a father-son duo for all plumbing needs. Recently, our short-term renter said he could smell methane (assuming he meant sewer smells), so we called our plumbers. They referred us to 99 Rooter this time, said they’re working with them, and that we should schedule through their phone line. OK, no problem. We called and scheduled, asked for our guys to come out, but they sent Caleb out same-day, did a thorough sewer scope. Very helpful. Checked inside and outside the house. Couldn’t find anything. Upfront and honest. Said to call back and he’d come out if we smell it again. Caleb is awesome! 2-3 weeks later, smell came back. We call and ask for Caleb to come back. Instead, they send Paul. Wouldn’t be an issue, except that he cut two large holes in our basement ceiling and still couldn’t find the source of the smell. So he says he’ll come back the next day with a smoker to smoke out all the sewer and find a pipe leak. Doesn’t show. Says he’s coming the next day. Doesn’t show. Then we find out he’s sick and his brother Milo is coming out the next day. He doesn’t show. Finally say they’re coming on Monday. Don’t show b/c they can’t find the smoker pellets. Finally, about a week later, Milo shows up with two other guys (one has his daughter with him), none have a knowledge of what’s going on. I’m at work, so my wife calls me. I explain where the issue is (the bathroom) and explain a pipe needs to be sealed or replaced. He swears the issue is actually the washer/dryers in different rooms entirely. I tell him that’s not the case, but he swears it will fix it. I tell him we already have a vent on the W/D, but he says we don’t and he needs to add one. They cut a massive hole into our wall in the living room. They cut the pipe with the current vent and add a second vent. Then cut downstairs behind the W/D and add one there as well. 25 minutes of work. They ask for a $2000 cash payment because of credit card fees, and they’ll send us an invoice. We have cash so my wife pays them. No smoking the pipes. No wall patching. No sealing or replacing a leak. A couple of days later, the smell came back. I called 99 Rooter to ask for the invoice, asked for them to fix the issue again, and when they were going to patch the walls. There is no record of these brothers’ work in their system. I spoke with Adam, a high level guy. He finally agrees to send someone out, and we ask for Caleb specifically. Guess what? Nobody shows up because he didn’t actually schedule it. We called again. Caleb FINALLY comes out and apologizes a ton (super great guy) and inspects. We did have vents, they just acted like that was the problem so they could charge us. Caleb removes the installed vent, and connects the pipes to the old one, takes a bunch of pictures, and sends them to Adam. The brothers were fired, and they started calling and texting my wife over and over, very angry at us. Did 99 Rooter make it right? No. Did they take responsibility for the two brothers they employed? Not really. Did they pay us back? Nope. Are there huge holes in our house? Yes. Is the problem fixed? Definitely not. Smelled like sewer in the home last night, again.

Trust the reviews. There are other options with much better reviews, service, and professionalism. In our experience, these guys are rude, charge excessive fees, and are not professional. 1) they claim to guarantee their rooter for 30 days but after our rooter, our BASEMENT FLOODED and they wouldn’t guarantee the $70 service during our booking. 2) the booking “manager” was both not listening to our issue AND extremely rude. Him: You can just ask your tech. Me: we don’t need a tech if he doesn’t have the right equipment. Him: Ok we’ll send a tech and you can ask him when he gets there. If he doesn’t have the equipment, you’ll just pay the service charge and trip fee. Me: SIGH 3) for a plumbing valve service they sent a guy who said he was not a plumber who looked like he had just woken up. He quoted much more than an actual plumber would later quote

We have referred many many different people to $99 rooter for years. But since the company was sold twice over their customer service has declined DRASTICALLY!! We called out $99 rooter for our 95 year old neighbor. Responded on the same day. "Cleaned" her kitchen drain, were paid $99 CASH, left no receipt and not even a week later sink was not draining at all. Called them back sent someone there same day. But wanted to charge ANOTHER $198 to"jet" the line. Called Fast flow instead, they came out the same day, did NOT have to jet the line and were great. Will NEVER call $99 rooter again.

99 rooter was able to send someone out within a few hours of my call. The first plumber wasn't able to unclog the drain and told me exactly what to tell the scheduler what we needed to do next. However, 99 rooter proactively called me first and volunteered to send out another plumber with different equipment that should work given my stubborn blockage. Willie was there in an hour and had my drain working in another hour. I am very impressed with their customer service and responsiveness. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, friendly and communicated well. I absolutely recommend them

The technician arrived promptly within 3 hours after my call to $99 Rooter. He cleared the drain (most likely from roots) and ran the machine through once more after that to make sure it was clear and draining properly. The price was right; but even if it had been higher I would highly recommend this company.

It was a good experience. I called them in late December to schedule an early January appointment. They called about 30 minutes before they were supposed to arrive, they arrived on time and the services were performed in a timely manner. After the cleaning was complete, the technician provided a report of what he found as he was cleaning which help confirm what the inspection report stated.

I am torn about this company. We had our sewer backup and called them to help us out. They scheduled the same day and were even early! The guys that did the sewer cleanout were awesome and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Problem fixed and I was super happy. Awesome level of service, great price! HOWEVER.... The following day I had scheduled a video inspection to ease my mind about the line itself. I was given an appointment window of 11-Noon. When 11:50 rolled around and I hadn't heard anything I called the office. I was told, "That's odd. I'll contact the tech and find out and get back to you." Another hour passed and I still hadn't heard anything. I was literally on my way out the door for an appointment at 1:15 when the guy pulls up and doesn't understand why I was upset that he's 2 hours late. He was confused when I asked why I didn't even get a call (I could have rescheduled the other appointment). No apology, nothing. Called the office again and cancelled. TL:DR First crew gets an A+, Second tech gets an F.

We had the two lines cleared a year earlier with a company we were pleased with, but couldn't remember which one it was. Many neighbors have this service done annually, a practice we've decided to follow (although this call was triggered by water in basement and visiting family who had been flushing baby wipes by the container.) After much investigation and several calls, I was frustrated with the wild range of pricing esp. for the secondary line. Finally called $99 Rooter. Nice, efficient, responsive - and turned out they are the ones we turned to the prior year. They had all our information including details about the access and the 150' main line, and arranged for service later that day even though it was mid-day the day after the holiday. When the gentleman arrived (the same one as a year ago), he was quick, thorough and professional. He explained the clog, offered some great advice to help keep things in order. You can trust their advice/information. $99 Rooter is not in the business of up selling or inflating the invoice, and their pricing was exceptional. They even called to let us know their guy would be a little late. Courtesy, professionalism, expertise and affordable - our total bill was less than what other companies were charging for the main line - so I was compelled to write my first review.

Fernando was an ACE!!!! He didn't give up when encountering adversity. He worked through a obscured "T" to work the snake down the sink drain, went above and beyond to do so, and cleaned up like it never even happened :P. I would not only hire him again, I'd happily have a beer and burger with the man.

It went very well. The serviceman was scheduled for 8AM and showed up right on time. His attitude was authentically cheery and down to earth, and he had the roots in the drain cleared in 10 minutes. He even took the time to answer a couple of simple DIY plumbing questions I had. Best $100 I have spent in a long time.

Great! The guy turned up within 30 minutes. He did his job and was out in an hour & thirty minutes. They had set the expectation that a sewer line over 100 ft would cost $25 extra, so no surprises. Unlike other rooters and plumbers, no annoying upsell or sales tacticts, even though we know we have some sewer line issues, so we're an easy target for that. Straightforward. Will call them again.

From the initial phone call contact to the guy doing the work, this company is awesome. I made a call and my drain was clean and flowing in less than 90 minutes on a Saturday. And, I wasn't up sold. There were no scare tactics to get more money out of me. Thank you so very much!!

With all the frozen pipe right now we didn't think we could get someone out for days to clear out a drain line. When we called 99 Rooter they let us know they could be at the house within 2 hours. Benjamin Balle-Mason was our service technician. We couldn't have asked for a better technician! He went right to work. Living in an older home doesn't make plumbing problems an easy fix to say the least. The toilet had to be removed because the near 70 year old access was rusted tight. Benjamin suggested removing the toilet to avoid creating an even bigger problem for us which would have been very costly.

When bringing in his machine Benjamin was careful to cover the wheels to avoid messing up our wood floors. It's little things like this that showed me how professional he is. Benjamin was at our home for over 2 hours and didn't leave until he was satisfied that EVERY drain in the house was draining properly. He is very professional and took the time to explain everything. With the service we even got a 30 day warranty.

I would highly recommend 99 Rooter! They don't try to sell extra services like some companies that we've dealt with in the past.

To my relief, a technician arrived within an hour of my call, fixed the drain, played with my German Shepherd, and was on his way. Everything was done quickly and cleanly for the advertised price.

$99 Rooter did a great job! Arrived within one hour of my phone call. The technician worked **** ** a couple of drains, but only charged me $99 since he couldn't clear one of them (it was permanently rusted through).

On a Sunday, the technician arrived within 45 minutes of our call to the company. He took great care in wiping off the equipment before bringing it into the house and cleaned up the work area once the job was finished short of the 2-hour time frame for the $99 price to hold. He cleared the line in multiple locations and went out 100' past any clogs and beyond. Would definitely use the service in the future and would request the same technician (Victor) if at all possible. He was very friendly, professional, informative and took extra effort to accomplish the task, including checking to be sure everything was back in working order once he was finished.
