We had picked a cherry wood for the job and the final look is beautiful.
He was very punctual and professional in his work, even starting the project on a Sunday.
The whole thing took 6 days, we were able to use the kitchen on and off during that time.
I would definitely call Kent again for any cabinet work.
Even though this was a very small job, Kent agreed to stop by the house and look at my problem. While there he got all doors in good working condition. Kent is obviously committed to helping people with good service. I highly recommend him.
The previous owner of my house painted the kitchen cabinets and doors a green and cream combination. The doors were oak and so they lost all hints of wood grain and everything shows brush strokes throughout. I have a huge slab of granite so could not find anyone who would replace the cabinets for fear of breaking and being responsible for the granite. So my only two options were to re-paint and apply a glaze with new doors or re-face the existing cabinets and get new doors. I did a lot of research on re-facing vs. painting/staining and out of six different contractors/companies who supplied quotes, Kent from High Country Refacing offered the best solution at the best price. Many re-facing places use a sticky laminate which can peel or bubble over time. Kent uses ¾” real wood for all the doors and drawer fronts and uses ¼” real wood for the cabinet fronts and trim. He cuts, sands and stains all this himself. Kent is a true craftsman at what he does and his work is immaculate. He offered suggestions on style and color as well as wood choice. He was always on time and very polite and respectful. He finished the project early as he said it would be about five days and it ended up only taking about three days. I was able to use the kitchen the entire time he was working so the project didn’t put me out in any way. The end result surpassed my expectations and the re-faced cabinets are beautiful. The coloring and type of wood he suggested worked extremely well with my existing granite and tile (alder wood with cherry stain). In addition, his work is guaranteed for life. He said if I had any issues at all, I only had to call. I highly recommend Kent at High Country Refacing. You will not be disappointed in the quality of the work or the value for the price.
Kent installed the cabinets exactly when he said he would, was prompt to my home each and every morning and cleaned up after himself at the end of each day. My kitchen project took 6 days and Kent worked Monday through Saturday. Many subcontractors won't work on Saturdays so this was important to me.
Kent is very professional and trustworthy and I will definitely use his services again in the future if I have a need. I have already referred him to friends considering cabinet replacement. I only refer people who "knock my socks off" and Kent fits that category!
You won't regret working with him!!!!
