The job was stalled due to staffing changes at their company and lack of communication. Started in September and didn't finish until November. When I went to pay the final invoice by credit card they charge 3.5%, that's $35 per $1000! Totally ridiculous especially for such a costly job. They want a paper check? Really?

"The client is correct in regards to we had a major staff change over the Pandemic that resulted in things getting lost in the interim. We also never expect full payment for completion from a client until we fully complete work and we also had to coordinate between her and her renter which also made things extremely difficult. Over the course of the job the clients renter was able to use the system on the day of installation, which was a couple months before we were able to establish the wash to have a complete finish. This did not keep the client from providing heat to her renter. As a result the client received her final bill at which time she called in to pay. She was informed she could pay with credit card which would have an additional 3.5 percent convenience fee or she could send a check in the mail to waive this additional cost. She continued to be belligerent and make remarks to Julie the office manager and said she was going to make a bad review in regards to this fee. Over the course of being in business we have changed our policies in regards to absorbing the cost of clients using there credit cards and generating huge costs back to the business. We try to give all options to our clients and inform them. As a result the client isn’t saying that the renter or system hasn’t been providing heat as far back as September/October but just that she wasn’t able to pay with her credit card. This seems like a very frivolous review against our company and has no merit. Thanks AshesAway"

Sean (the owner) was on time. He was a bit short and rude in his manner of speaking to me. After 5 minutes of inspection he told me there was no gas leak in my fireplace and that I was smelling dust. I told him that the smell of gas was overwhelming when we had used the unit a couple of times and had to convince him to keep looking for it. After another couple of minutes his machinery detected a gas leak. After this his demeanor changed and he was more friendly and nice and went into trying to sell me a new gas fireplace (as our old one was too old to fix). He then charged us 85$ for a 10 minute inspection where he almost walked away telling me there was no gas leak when indeed there was. We talked to him about him overcharging us but he didn't care and stood by his price. He actually said the price reflects the travel time. I live right in town. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We've used this company several times and have always been satisfied with their work. They call to remind me each year when the cleaning is due. The technician arrives promptly. He covers the surrounding area with a tarp to keep ashes from falling on the carpet. He also fills out a condition report to let me know the condition of the stove and chimney. He also makes recommendations about repairs that need to be made (in this case, we needed to replace the rope gasket on our door). He completed the work in about an hour.
