AFFORDABLE CONCRETE

I want to update that I called Robert this week to ask a few questions regarding my driveway. He returned my call and was quick to provide satisfactory, logical answers. I am very pleased with the finished product and the fact that they are still helpful.

The crew arrived just as promised - for each day. All were pleasant and professional. The plan for the work was discussed and approved. Most of the work was done (forms set, concrete poured, finished) - just before a predicted snow storm.

After the old driveway had been removed and the new concrete had been poured - I had already paid for one-half of the job when Robert Hohhschneider from this company came to me demanding full payment. At this time the crew was wisely laying on thermal blankets over the just poured/finished concrete (knowing that there was snow to come). I told Robert Hoffschneider that he should not expect full payment until the job is done.

His response is why I rate this company as crap.

Robert acted lack a thug. When he heard that I wanted to pay the balance of the contract only AFTER the work was complete he screamed to the crew to "pull the forms and the blankets" - knowing that by doing that would degrade the entire job.

This was a threat. Either pay me now! or I will trash the job!

I stupidly wrote a check to this jerk. Several days later the blankets were removed and the remaining forms removed.

The work was done just fine and is of standard quality.

It went really well. We received about eight quotes for the patio and they were the cheapest. We were particular with what we wanted and they were the only ones that were able to meet everything we were looking for. The only thing I would change was the treatment to the concrete wasn't brought up when we were quoted the price for the patio. It was offered when the work was being done. It ultimately was a good deal, since we had also priced that out to be done later, but I would have appreciated it offered ahead of time. We were very happy with this company and the work they did for us.

At first everything was going great. Then we had a run of bad weather so what could have been done in a week ended up being a month. The service over all was great, they can't control the weather. We were very happy with the quality of the work.

AFFORDABLE CONCRETE REMOVED THE CONCRETE AND REPLACED THE EXISTING CONCRETE WITH A NEW WALKWAY. THEY ROUNDED THE CORNERS AS WE REQUESTED. THE WORKERS DID A NICE JOB OF CLEANING UP AFTER THEY WERE COMPLETE.
