John and his team were amazing. They were incredibly nice, showed up early, performed quality work, and were quick to respond to every and any question. Juan headed my project and did an amazing job. The floors look incredible and have really transformed the house. I highly recommend Van Camp's quality hardwood floors.

John Van Camp was the first to respond to my email inquiry and showed up for an estimate the very same evening. He never tried to sell us anything we didn't ask for and told us our floors would be restored to a luster we love. He was right. The next morning, his crew came in and sealed up the work area, so that the dust would stay in the kitchen only. Then, they went about and restored the kitchen and added the stairs. Promptly at 8:30am the next morning, another crew came to buff and add another coat. Three coats were eventually applied, and we couldn't be happier. We would recommend Van Camp's over and over again to anyone who needs their wood floors restored or new ones installed. Professional, courteous, and prompt: a homeowner couldn't ask for more.

Can’t say enough good things about Van Camp’s. From start to finish, this was a positive experience. First came a bid that was lower than we expected, but that wasn’t the only reason we went with them. We could sense the professionalism from the beginning during the estimate. Then the crew arrived 15 minutes earlier than scheduled, eager to start. They answered all my questions and then I was out of there. One of my questions was about moving the refrigerator back. The foreman at first said he would talk with the owner, and that they could move it back with their equipment for possibly $50-100 after the job was finished, as that was not part of the agreement. He called me the next day and said they would be moving it at no charge. We were to be out of the house for two nights because of the fumes but I snuck back the first night just to take a peek. The house was totally sealed outside of the work area, which surprised me, as the neighbor had had some work done a few months earlier by another company and said he had sawdust everywhere. When we came back two days later, there was hardly any dust anywhere and the floors looked immaculate. Where there had been water damage looked great. Where they had to match the worn-out kitchen to the halls was impeccable. Lastly, I found a chip in the floor that I didn’t remember being there before, but it apparently was an old chip. When I told them about it, they came back and repaired it anyhow. Talk about going the extra mile. I highly recommend this company to ANYONE needing hardwood flooring work!

Van Camp did an excellent job repairing water damage on part and
refinishing our whole  floor.  They showed up when they were supposed
to, covered the walls/cabinets to contain dust, and took the number of
days they promised.  The floor looks great.
The damage we had was paid for by insurance.  All other companies who
bid looked to run up the price.  John was the only one who spoke
honestly and charged a reasonable amount. He ended up being the lowest
bid for a full refinish using waterbased finish.
Lastly, we went with waterbased finish.  It took considerably less time
to lay it down and we didn't have to move out due to fumes.
It goes on with no color so it may look a bit lighter on the floor. Just be aware of that.

Everyone showed up on time and informed us of everything that was going to be done and advised us when we should be out of the house due to fumes.  Everything was done timely and for the estimated price.

He promptly came and gave me an estimate as to what it would cost. He and his team promptly finished the work. They treated my home respectfully. Could not believe how fabulous the floors could look until he was done with them. Superb craftsmanship.

We had hardwood floor damage in our 100 year old home caused by a shower leak. About 50 sq ft of floor was warped and damaged. Since this was a new home, we did not know until after the first company we used started to remove the floorboards that the boards were depression era (i.e., very thin!). The first company said the only option now was to replace the entire floor. We then called Van Camp's and one other company to come to give estimates instead. The second company also declined to refinish the floors, saying that the boards were too thin to take an agressive sanding. Again, they proposed replacing the entire floor (living and dining room). When John Van Camp came over, he said he thought the floor was salvageable and was unique enough that it was worth saving. He also took the time to show me a series of photos of other refinishing jobs they had completed. They custom milled the few boards that needed to be replaced, and then sanded and refinished the whole floor. He and his crew were both extremely professional, prompt, and completed the work when they said they would - not to mention saving us a bundle of money!
