The staff at Urban Vet Care is very friendly.  They give the dogs cheese whiz which goes over very well.  My complaint is that instead of requesting or attempting to get a clean urine sample the old fashioned way they took my dog in the back where I was not able to witness the procedure and used a fine needle that was inserted into the bladder to extract the urine.  I would have preferred another option or to at least have been told this is what they were doing.

Although I'm sure the staff are competent another complaint of mine is that the doctor that took care of my pet is only available a couple of days out of the week.  Sometimes their response time is lengthy when waiting for test results.  I would like to see an improvement in this area. 

Also the doctor put my pet on a medication that caused negative side affects and I was unable to reach her to discuss what my pet was experiencing.  I did get in touch with someone the following day and the vet on duty told me to discontinue the meds.  I later received a follow up call on Monday from the prescribing doctor.  She left me a voice mail stating she had received a message about my pet's adverse reaction.  I had already decided at that point to switch vets due to the lack of consistent and timely communication.

It is a great practice. I have been taking my dog there for a year and half. They are very professional. The space where they work out of is clean and convenient for me. My dog really enjoys going there and everyone is friendly.

I spent $200 at that time. They are excellent, but they are very expensive. Also, their hours are not very convenient. I will not use them again.

They have very knowledgeable staff, but their price tends to run on the high side. It is kind of hard to get in.

The vets at Urban are fantastic. They're sooo empathetic and great active listeners. They were able to inform me of unpleasant options for my cat with kindness. They've called me several times to follow-up. I highly recommend the practice not only for their bedside manner, but expertise and professionalism.

We are in the early stages of treating/eliminating my dogs cancer. I am very happy with the professionalism and with the staff's eagerness to get my dog cared for. They have referred us to an oncologist because their clinic is not equipped to perform the surgery my dog will need. The vet provided a couple options including contact information to a study related to treating Mast Cell tumors. Monday mornings seem to be hectic for this clinic. They advertise being open at 0800, I called right at 0800 and again at 0830. Both times I got a message machine. I was happy they gave an explanation when I finally got to speak with a human being. Other days during the week I had no problems reaching a live perrson. The parking is a bit of a challenge, only a handful of spaces in front of the building, no street parking and only private parking in the back of the building. They do have signs posted indicating 90 minute allowances for patrons. The staff tries to adhere to scheduled appointments. They also respond appropriately to emergencies, I feel this is a good thing. There is a large hairy cainine greeter, named Blue, in the lobby. Blue is harmless and likes any attention sent his way. There is also a free roaming kitty with multicolored rubber toenail caps, The Kitty is cautious when new customers enter the lobby. The only reason I mention this is to forewarn new patrons and to avoid confrontations. The staff appears well trained, everyone pays attention to little details and responds accordingly. For example, a Golden puppy was excited to see his owner arrive and at the same time wanted to say hello to everyone else in the lobby. Despite his determination to control his bladder, excessive tail wagging exacerbated the situation and a flood ensued. One staff member managed to get him out the door and another responded to cleaning up the puddle. I would gladly refer this company to all pet lovers.

My pug has been going to this place since he was a puppy. If I every have an emergency, they are willing to see him immediately. They also send me reminder cards in the mail regarding his shots. The veterinarian and staff are very nice and they know us by name.
