I hired Nick to remove a load bearing wall from our home and install a new beam. He was very transparent and communicative during the entire project, and willing to work with me. Work was done very professionally and workplace was clean.

I paid over $400 for the installation of three grab bars. I paid way too much but we needed these installed sooner than later.

Nick and his team did a great job finishing off our basement after we had a sump pump installed. I was impressed with his creative suggestions for working around the less-than-ideal space (it's a 100-year-old-ish home). The quality of work was excellent and his pricing was very reasonable. I will absolutely call him again for any future projects.

We had an outstanding experience with Nick and his team doing a bathroom renovation in our 1940s Park Hill home - everything turned out wonderfully! We had new shelving, drywall, shower tiling and fixtures, new floor, moving a light fixture, adding a recessed medicine cabinet, new trim and window sill - it all came out exactly as we had imagined. They were clean and courteous for the entire project. I was working from home for the majority of the time and it wasn't an issue at all. We can't wait to hire them again for our next project!

I think if anyone hires Nick, they will be really please with the work that Nick and his team do. Nick and his work partner, Justin, were very pleasant to work with. I feel the quality of the work they provided with the cost they charged is unparalleled. The other quotes I received were much more expensive (unjustifiably so). There are two constructive criticisms that I have. Nick originally told me he could come on a Wednesday between 11am-1pm but he didn't show up. I called him on that Wednesday at 1:30pm and he said his other job got out of control so he wouldn't be able to make it on Wednesday. While this is understandable, I would have appreciated if Nick reached out to me first and told me this instead of me having to reach out to him to see where he was/if he was still coming. Additionally, not coming on Wednesday was really unfortunate since we had our cleaning service coming on Thursday (this is a treat for us, we never hire a cleaning service!) and I really wanted these home projects to get done *before* our cleaning service so that our cleaning service would clean up all the messes. I explained this to Nick when he told me he couldn't come on Wednesday and he said "We will be super clean, so don't worry." Well, I might be a total neat freak but I did not feel they were super clean. I absolutely had to go over the areas they worked in and clean them up, dust, sweep, scrub, vacuum. So those are the only two downsides -- and if Nick would have been able to come on Wednesday I would have nothing to criticize. Again, I think if anyone hires Nick, they will be really please with the work that Nick and his team do. And the value for the money is five stars for sure.

Nick and crew showed up every day and on-time, kept the mess minimal, respected my house and neighbors and were reasonably priced. They completed multiple projects to my exact specifications, even incorporating last-minute changes. Projects included building a new section of wall, re-framing closets, trim-work, building shelving, drywall patch/repair, painting, decking and door installations. Would recommend and will be using again in the future.

Nick did great work on a big, tough project. Nick got the job done on-time and on budget despite being interrupted by two snowstorms. Nick was responsive, efficient, plus he gave my wife and I valuable suggestions to make the project both cheaper and more attuned to our goals at the outset of the project. I will always call Nick back for jobs big and small.

Nick and his team did an excellent job with various projects in my home, from installing a dishwasher and microwave, to creating a beautiful built-in desk and shelving unit. He was great about providing updates and making sure to get approval before moving forward on anything. I will definitely have them back for any future needs I have.

I have been using this company for years. I think the first time I used them was 2010. We started with a few small jobs, but I have used Nick and Total Home Concepts for three major projects. He did a lot of renovation on our home we sold in Littleton, and then performed a big addition in the new house we moved to. That project included building a big guest suite (framing, drywall, ceiling etc.), with a large bathroom. He can handle big remodels. Our latest project was a total remodel of a rental in Englewood that we were putting on the market for sale. That included almost every area of the house. He remodeled the existing kitchen and bath, the basement, and created a new upstairs master suite with walk-in closet, and a huge master bath. It came out beautifully and we did great on the sale. The place looked great! Nick is a solid guy. I would not have come back to him year after year if he did not do good work, and gets the job done the way you want it done. My repeat business is the best endorsement I can offer.

If you need very basic handyman tasks, then this company may suffice, but for a professional quality bathroom remodel, I would never work with the owner of Total Home Concepts again. I felt confident hiring this company after checking 4 of his references, but my experience with this contractor was the most unprofessional and disappointing. I come from a long lineage of independent construction contractors, so I actually have a clue about how a business should be conducted, and according to my father, every one of my professional construction relatives would have fired this guy on day 2. I wish I followed my initial gut instinct and ran away when he refused to sign a contract and not provide project dates, timelines and guarantees, but I was naive and desperate to get the work done before the holidays. He didn't follow through on his word in completing most of what we discussed prior to starting the project. The workmanship and especially his business tactics were unprofessional. He disregarded in a defensive manner on nearly everything I asked of him, particularly when attempting to protect expensive bath fixtures which I made great efforts in protecting during construction. Ladies, he is defiant when told what/how to do anything by a woman. There were certain things I asked him not to do, yet he blatantly disregarded this in the most rude, disrespectful manner, and consequently, I ended up with a damaged medicine cabinet and sub-par quality tile work on a shower niche, which he did not own up to. I've already cut my hand on it twice because it was so poorly done. TIP: don't ask for mitered corner edging on any metal materials because he cannot deliver. Really?? I learned how to cut mitered corner edges as a 12-year girl in wood shop class. Wow! And when I showed the results of this niche to the next pro tiler I hired for bathroom #2, he expressed his sympathy for me getting ripped off by the amateur workmanship that was done. At least the niche was done properly on the 2nd bathroom. Phew! Also, don't expect a full day's work most days and there were a few days he just didn't show up or had some sudden excuse for not working at all when I was promised devotion to completing 2 bathroom remodels without interruptions. I ended up with 48% completion for the scope of the project and had to hire a new crew to begin and complete the 2nd bathroom. And as if this part was not disappointing enough, he assured me after 2 months of discussion about rebuilding my deck landing and stairs, he disassembled my deck and decided the next day to not repair or rebuild it. Now the stability of my deck is compromised even further while I search for a new contractor to rebuild it. The only reason I give a 1-star rating is because his other crew members were respectful and professional in their attitudes of intention to delivering what was originally agreed upon. Unfortunately, the owner completely dropped the ball and left the rest of us disappointed and frustrated.
Response from Total Home Concepts

"Man it's tough knowing this review was allowed, but I was told that if someone can praise your work they can down it too, even if what is said are scorned opinions and half truths. Take a look at our other reviews, like always we answered all questions, kept her informed and reassured her every step of the way. Sadly however every answer, no matter how detailed was met with distrust more questions. She wouldn't just let us do our job, she tried to micro manage project, caused riffs in my crew about trust (which led to my tile guy quitting, reason we couldn't do 2nd bathroom btw) and the project suffered because of it. I tried my best to make Ms. (consumer name withheld per their request) happy but seems like nothing I said or did was good enough. We built her a solid bathroom and I stand by it! All Championship Teams experience a lose and we will learn from this one, continue to grow and provide you with the quality workmanship people know and trust!"

Nick and his crew were very easy to work with and did a fantastic job on our basement remodel. Nick was very easy to get in touch with, fair with pricing, and made sure he got the job done right without cutting corners. I also trusted him and his crew in my home. We love our new basement remodel and we will definitely use them again for other projects! I highly recommend Total Home Concepts.

Total Home Concepts (owner and staff) is the most prompt, reliable, efficient and courteous company I have ever had do work at my home. At my initial request for a wood gate replacement, the owner came by the same evening, showed up a few days later, as schedule, on time, and completed the job the same day. When a change was needed, the owner first asked me for my approval. The owner had to spend extra time, due to a board needing replaced that he had not anticipated - and he still charged me the amount he'd initially quoted - even though his time and materials went over the estimate. The assistant workers we friendly and professional also. I HIGHLY recommend this company - for any fencing needs, which I had done, but I will also call Total Home Concepts for all of my future home improvements - it is a company you can trust. I am confident that if I request something they are not confident they can do, they will be completely honest. At this time, I think the owner and staff can do most any type of home improvement. I had hired Braun Built before to replace my gate, and that owner overcharged me by 300% for shoddy materials, and never came back to make the needed repairs. Total Home Concepts tore down the horrible gate installed by Braun Built, built a new, sturdy, totally funcional gate, for less than the gate I initially paid for. I highly rate Total Concepts for workmanship, professionalism, courtesy, and the materials they provide. Will use them from now on for any of my home inprovement needs. The highest rating I can give, they have earned.

This project consisted of removing an old pergola and rebuilding it. It was challenging because there are vines covering the pergola and I did not want them destroyed. Nick and his crew were able to accomplish this. They were also polite, accommodating and tidy. Their clean up was excellent. And to top it off, the total cost was less than half the other bid I got! I will definitely use Total Home Concepts again.

Nick and crew came into our home to do several projects. Nick was efficient and brought many creative ideas to make the projects even better. What we really liked was his willingness to listen to suggestions and incorporate our ideas into his work. I can honestly say he exceeded all our expectations. Nick takes pride in his work and it shows. Nick was a pleasure to work with. When he finished, our home was completely cleaned and left in perfect condition. We plan on having him back to complete additional projects in the future. It can be difficult having contractors in your home, but Nick made this an excellent experience.
