He arrived promptly when he said he would and I talked through on the phone the issues we needed to have fixed as he walked through the house. I didnt give him any specific guidance on what we wanted done to repair certain issues, but told him to use his judgement on what should be done. He worked extremely efficiently and completed the work in less time than was expected. We were very pleased with the work and will be using Philip again for any future home repairs!
I was very pleased with his work and demeanor. When I called him his answering machine stated exactly what he charged so
I knew what to expect before I even talked to him. His charge was exactly what he said plus the cost of the replacement part.
When talking to my son later, I told him that was the best $112 that I ever spent. I'm so please to have all these things working again.
Overall, the job was hassle-fee and the price was fair. I would definitely use them again. He was there just under 4 hours and didn't mind that I was at home working (in my teeny, tiny apartment). He was very polite, didn't make a lot of racket and treated my home with care. I just noticed this morning that he even fixed the part on my kitchen sink where the dish washer tube connects to the garbage disposal which I hadn't thought about. He also saved me some money by using the existing parts and wires for the garbage disposal and repairing a track light fixture, both I had purchased parts for because I wasn't sure if he'd need them and now I can return them for a refund.
Good experience, again, hassle-free, he was able to give me a good ballpark estimate for the work over the phone and saved us both the time of giving an estimate in person.
"I am very surprised at this report. First of all, the job was actually done in August of 2010, more than a year ago. The $90.00 charged for the job is my minimum charge for 2 hours of time and is disclosed on my phone message that every customer hears. I had to look at the job, go and pick up material and then do the repair. That took close to the 2 hours of time. There doesn't seem to be a problem with the quality of work just that a friend could have done it cheaper. That is probably true of any job. So it would seem to be a good idea to get the friend to do it if that is the case, not complain after the fact. As can be seen by my other reports, my customers are very satisfied with the work that I perform. I am looking for long term relationships with the people I work for. I always try to be fair in my pricing and quality work is my first objective. I am sorry that you were not happy. I hope you reconsider how you feel about the work that I did for you. Philip"
