After choosing the Blind Doctor from Angie's List to fix my pleated blinds, I called and left a message requesting he come and do the needed repairs. There is no category for repair of window treatments, so it was a bit difficult narrowing down which Angie's List businesses to contact for that purpose. I wanted someone in my vicinity and someone who did repairs rather than sales of window treatments, if possible. Not exactly sure how much time passed between my phone request and his return call but it wasn't more than a week. He then made an appointment for the next morning, arrived punctually and efficiently made the needed repairs. The job cost me less than we'd discussed over the phone since he was able to adjust some of the blinds instead of completely restringing them all. I really like my custom made pleated blinds and have a house full of them. I'll be calling the Blind Doctor again if they fall into disrepair. Hopefully, he'll be able to keep them all in good working order for us.

The first appointment was missed because he found in his previous appointment it was going to be more time than expected.  He called and gave us the option to take a later appointment or reschedule.  We rescheduled and he came on time, did the work in record time and everything was wonderful.
We used The Blind Doctor in the past and will use him in the future.

He was able to make the needed repairs at my home in about 40 minutes.  He was a little difficult to get a hold of, but that was because he was out of town when I first called him.  Once I scheduled an appointment he was prompt and professional and didn't seem to mind that my dogs wanted to "help" him with the blinds.  If I ever need blinds repaired in the future I will definitely use The Blind Doctor again.

Communication was not good. Calls were not returned in a timely manner. After the repair, the slat again became troublesome and I again had trouble making contact with John Haskins, the owner and person who does the work. I finally twisted the slat and got it working again, but that was why the slat previously broke -- I had kept twisting it back into place and it finally gave out. Eventually John did call me back and said as long as the slat was working now he would not come out, but if it stopped rotating as it should to let him know and he would come out again to repair it. I think he is an honest man who can do good work and means well, but he is extremely difficult to contact. This is very frustrating, but perhaps he is worth the frustration and wait. His price was lower than the others I had called. He worked in a clean, professional manner when he got here, but his method of contacting him is not professional.
