Great, the broken support bar that goes onto our boat to support the swim platform was rewelded perfectly and is functional again.

Sam and his guys did an incredible job. The work was also finished way AHEAD of schedule. We are extremely happy with the job they did, very high quality and very professional and friendly. Sam does all sorts of welding and other work, we will certainly do business with him in the future for other home improvements.

We were able to contact Sam immediately by phone. We explained the problem and offered to bring it to his shop. He said he would be in the neighborhood and the cost would be the same as bringing it to his shop. He phoned a couple of times to give us updates as he was running later than planned. He was very professional and knowledgable. We were very pleased with his work and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Sam and his team did a great job. We have received a number of compliments on the new fence and gates. They match our home beautifully and the craftsmanship is excellent. Sam was wonderful to work with as well - very responsive and clearly takes great pride in his work. We would recommend him without reservation and are extremely pleased with the work that was done - and will have him back for any iron projects in the future.

Sam was great. We texted him a photo of the wagon wheel and he made a base/stand for the wheel with rebar stakes so that we could stake it in the ground. He arrived promptly on a Saturday morning with the stand he had made. He proceeded to lay out our design and welded the items to the wheel. Sam knew his craft and did a great job on the wheel. The last thing he did was attach the base he made and he then helped us to stake the wheel into the ground. It was fun talking with Sam about the good old days in Denver. He did a wonderful job and we are enjoying our wheel/hanging plant holder. We also decorated it for Halloween with orange plastic and made it look like a big jack-o-lantern.

We would highly recommend Sam for any welding needs you may have.

I own a plumbing company and to replace a water main I had to move a wrought iron fence, when putting it back, We struggled mightily to get the door to match up with the latch. We called Sam to come out and adjust the latch to we didn't have to redig up the fence. While he was there he reattached a couple of broken pieces on the fence and of course the door closes flawlessly now.

Sam was prompt, friendly, courteous & respectful. He did the work and was very efficient. He was $400 less than another company I called.

I called Sam about re-welding hinges on my 87 year old parent's front security door. They had called a few other providers who didn't return their calls, or, told them that the job was too small for them to come out. After I heard this, I immediately consulted Angie's List and Sam's company, Superior Iron Works, came to the top of the list of nearby providers. I left a message on Sam's voice mail regarding the nature of the problem and asked him to call my father as soon as he could as they wanted to get the door fixed before the weekend. Sam and his helper came out the next day and welded all 3 hinges (only two were broken) with the door in place. (Amazing ... I thought he was going to remove it to prevent the door frame from getting burned). When I looked at the door later, it looked great (he repainted the hinges), the door functioned properly and sat square in the frame. My parents were very pleased with Sam's professionalism, work performed and price. We highly recommend Sam and Superior Iron Works for any job - big or small.

The hinge broke again. I don't believe it was Sam's fault. The TRUTH is that my 87 year-old Dad STILL uses the door for a CRUTCH. His ego won't let him get a WALKER. Sheesh ... I'm 60 ... his oldest son.

The bottom line is that I'm learning about old-age big time! It is verrry hard to see your parents reach this point. YOU know who comes next, right?

I'm sorry, I digress.

Within a couple of hours after I called, Sam went back to my folks' house and re-soldered the broken hinge. When I went over to look at the re-do, it was clear to me that my Dad can comfortably LEAN on this door for the rest of his life.

Overall, it went well. Sam is a great guy with a heart of gold and he truly wants to meet all expectations. When he first installed the railing, it was still a bit wobbly in the middle (due to original house foundation at overlook area), so he and my hubby engineered a solution. The next day Sam showed up with a welded retrofit piece to install at the middle section to fortify the railing. It is much more stable now! I appreciated this so much! He could have thrown up his hands and said, "Oh, well?the foundation is not good!" but he didn't?he worked the problem out! 
If I could look for improvement in any areas, I'd say that his selection of iron is limited.  I think he "comes by" iron pieces here and there, and turns them into railings, etc. This keeps costs low (he was 3-4x less than another company we got an estimate from) but you won't get too much to choose from unless you have him order from another company, which will increase costs. His finishing work is probably not as clean as the higher priced companies (dings in the wood cap, gap in spindle holes), but we think it's worth the cost difference. As for responsiveness and punctuality?Sam reminds me of an artist?sort of on his own schedule. He won't forget about you, but you may have to wait a day or two longer than planned. Again, worth the cost difference!
Overall, our railing is safe, taller, and looks so much better than the original builder wood railing!

Sam came out to my home and gave me a free estimate.  in less than one week, he showed up at my house with his welding tools and repaired the gate.  He welded the stressed metal back into place and welded a new gate stop onto the post holding the gate in place.  He then touched up his work with spray paint to make his work match the gate's color.
I showed Sam my umbrella when he came to repair the gate.  he assured me he could fix it and he took the umbrella with him.  About two days later Sam called me and stated the umbrella was fixed.  Even though I was not home, Sam came by my house and dropped off the umbrella.  He said we could settle the bill later.
Sam was very easy to work with and I recommend him to anyone who needs metal work done inside or outside of their home or business.

Sam came out in November to give us a quote on enclosing our front yard with wrought iron fencing.  We liked him and his example work so much we didn't bother to get other quotes.  What was most exciting is that Sam and his crew are true craftsmen so they custom build the fence which gave us a lot of creative options.  We found finials online and Sam had some pickets with a unique texture we then decided to add half height pickets in between the full length ones and he didn't mind our last minute change.  Once the weather warmed enough and he had time, the crew installed the fence in about a day and a half.  After a few weeks we were having problems with the swinging gate not closing completely, I called Sam and he installed a spring on it that weekend!  We love the look of the fence and have had lots of complements from neighbors and visitors.  
Even though wooden fences are not his focus, Sam also helped us with our back and side yard which has a six-foot wooden privacy fence.  Sam used existing wooden fence gates to close off the side yard and installed another in the back so we could access the yard from the alley.  The installation is solid and a great asset!

My experience with them was excellent. I liked their staff. They were responsive. They did excellent work.

We took the railing to him.  He recommended replacing the broken connector with one that would hold rather than just welding the break.  The work was done as promised and has held for over a year.

Superior Iron Works ? Installed New Hand Rail for Front Door. They arrived on time to perform an estimate to create and install a hand rail for my front door. They were very professional and explained what they needed to do. They gave me an estimate of $180.00 and would be installed the following week. The next appointment they showed up on time and installed the hand rail in about an hour. There were no problems and everything went very smooth.

I submitted requests for 3 estimates plus an estimate from the previous year.  I chose Sam because of his demeanour, professionalism, examples of previous work and price.   Sam presented me with photos of previous work and a list of addresses near my house where he has done similar work.  All of his work was outstanding.  I called him on a Friday and told him I chose him to do the work.  The following Tuesday eventing he laid the posts in concrete, Thursday he installed the Fence panels and Friday the gate. 
He also did a lot of custom work on the iron and built the fence exactly to my specifications.  I was trying to get a personalized fence but also compliment the existing historical iron fence on my street.  Sam did an excellent job.  I also went to his shop in the neighbourhood and saw the panels and some of the decorative pieced manufactured.
If you are in the 5 points or Curtis Park area, you won't find anyone better than Sam. 
I will be using him for future projects.

Sam is a joy to work with, both personally and professionally. The referenced work was done under my direction and that of my Structural Engineer for the $1,000,000 restoration. He earned my respect and that of the other trades.
