Hiring Studio 3 to design, specify and supply a kitchen remodel has been a complete nightmare. Studio 3 failed to perform work within the agreed upon timeframe and within any reasonable amount of time. The designer, Diane White was difficult to work with and failed to deliver upon her agreed designs. Throughout the project she neglected to come on site to address issues. She consistently overcharged for her work and created duplicative charges to resolve issues she was responsible for. There were several components of the design created by Studio 3 that are defective and unworkable. They required significant and costly corrections or adaptations to the agreed upon design. Diane White was negligent to resolve these issues and consistently pointed fingers at everyone from the appliance company, cabinetry company, and installers. To date (nearly 9 months after starting the project) these issues have been unresolved and have required significant involvement from all parties involved. Throughout the process this company behaved unprofessionally and the end result was an extremely costly kitchen remodel which has several defects to design such as inaccurately measured cabinets, cabinets which don’t match the agreed upon design, and materials that were specified which didn’t work within the kitchen such as Tile, Sink, Cabinetry. Throughout the process Studio3 was provided formal notice of these defects and refused to address or resolve them. I highly recommend working with any other design firm to avoid issues and neglect from a designer who failed to perform the job for which she was contracted, hired and paid in full. Specific examples of issues include but are not limited to the following: Sink which did not fit the cabinets it was ordered for, cabinet panels for appliances (both of which she specified) which can not be applied to the appliances due to the style of cabinet she specified, measurements for things such as fixed shelves which were off by 50%, Tile which the installer could not apply in my kitchen due to the size of the tile (3 foot by 10 inches and weighed 10 pounds for each piece of tile), light rail which didn’t fit within the design and had to be significantly modified. In general her approach is to neglect returning calls and defer to the service providers she’s contracted through. I strongly encourage you to consider working with a more ethical provider if you’re looking in the Denver or Boulder area.
