Sterling is amazing. We moved into a new house 10 years ago that had numerous things we wanted/needed to change. We also needed custom furniture to for a few of the rooms in the house to make the rooms function according to our needs. Sterling asked us numerous questions about those needs and listened carefully to our responses. He then helped develop solutions that satisfied those needs, and he did so in a professional and timely manner with the highest level of craftsmanship. Moreover, he provided clear and reasonable budgets, and he 100% stuck to his word on the cost. These projects were highly varied and complex. For example, Sterling refinished and/or rebuilt all of the oak cabinets in a relatively large kitchen. The former owner had unfortunately painted them, and the process to restore them was huge. Sterling did that by himself, and he did an amazing job. He also improved the function of the cabinets substantially. We hated the painted oak cabinets and now absolutely love our unpainted and more functional oak cabinets! Sterling also proposed and installed a decorative archway into a wall in a living room so as to open up the flow of traffic into and out of the room. This archway was custom built to PERFECTLY match an existing decorative archway, and it substantially improved the flow and energy of the room/house. Finally, Sterling custom built three pieces of furniture that were specific to some oddly shaped rooms/spaces in our house. We told him what he needed, and he proposed the designs of the furniture, including the size, shape, style and materials. This included options as well as proposed budgets for those options. The work produced surpassed what we expected, and we now view the furniture pieces he made as pieces of art. This included two walnut side tables for either side of our bed that needed to be specifically dimensioned to fit an oddly shaped room. Sterling nailed it with the design, and built highly durable and beautiful side tables. I have no doubt we’d be able to sell them for twice as much as he charged us to build them. On top of the quality of work and the professionalism, Sterling also is an incredibly wonderful person. He is kind and always took time to engage. He was interested in who we were as a family and has become a friend of mine, my wife’s and our children. I highly recommend working with Sterling. He has repeatedly exceeded our expectations.

I needed a very decorative fluted column to be built out of red oak that matched a fancy red oak staircase and Sterling nocked it out of the park with this one. The column is beautiful and perfectly constructed. It's impossible to find people at the level of quality that Sterling has as a craftsman woodworker and I was thrilled to find him when I did.
