Roman's Sewer Service Inc

We had a backup and called a company we'd previously used to replace our sewer line 11 years ago (under different management). They came out, inspected the line, and told us it needed to be replaced for a cost of $8700. Things they told us about the inspection such as saying it was all original clay pipe didn't ring true with the sewer line replacement we'd had done 11 years ago. So we called a plumber we've used for interior shower and sink fixtures for a recommendation for sewer service. He gave us the number for Dave at Roman's Sewer Service. Dave was great. Came the next day, checked out the line with water running, said he didn't think we had a problem at that time, but gave us choices: 1) "wait and see" if we had another back up, 2) go ahead and have him do a clean out for probable roots, or 3) have the line inspected with a camera - explaining that he doesn't do camera inspections himself, but recommended Hydro Physics for that. No pressure, left it totally up to us what we wanted to do. Very helpful, very patient, not at all pushy. So since his "this is what I'd do" recommendation was to get the line inspected, we called Hydro Physics. They came out, did the inspection, found some roots but no breaks in the line, recommended we go ahead and have the roots cleaned out. So we called Dave back, he came next day, did the clean out for a very reasonable price. We asked him if we should schedule clean outs every year. He told us every two years would be frequently enough for sewer lines like ours. So at every step where Dave could easily have padded the costs and made recommendations that would have had us putting more money into his pocket, instead he made recommendations that were based on what our needs were and his objective opinion of what was best. He didn't base his recommendations on whether he got more money. What a refreshing change from today's usual way of doing business! Honesty and good sense without any hint of greed. I'm sure we will be calling Dave again in the future since our house is over 60 years old. But when we do call him, it will be with the confidence of knowing we will be dealing with a professional who has integrity and is not greedy. Thanks Dave!

David was fantastic. Highly recommend! He was very personable, genuine and clearly interested in what was best for us today and for a future preventative plan. We bought our house a year ago and the inspector recommended an annual sewer cleaning to make sure that roots hadn't worked their way further into our clay sewer line. David sent a line down and suggested that we check it again next year but then could potentially go to every other year just to stay on top of it and keep it cleaned out. David said this was his Dad's business. We like supporting a small family owned business with great customer service.

Roman's were very competent, knowledgeable, and down to earth. They explained to me in detail what they were doing beforehand and gave me a firm estimate for the work. They took their time to complete the job well and did not up charge me for any additional time. I will definitely use them again if I need this type of work done in the future. Additionally, they actually came in and fixed what I had been told by another plumbing company could not be fixed,and thus, saved me thousands of dollars!!  It was refreshing to work with an honest and ethical company! I have had no further problems.

The best experience I've ever had with  a drain/sewer company  after many years of dealing with the problems of a 60 year old house and its fragile trouble-ridden plumbing and drainage system.   The situation was identified over the phone by this company.  Everyone was pleasant.  They didn't argue with me or tell me that I couldn't be right about it.  Tidy, efficient, and work guaranteed for 90 days.  Listened to ALL my questions.  Gave me thoughtful advice about preventive measures for the future.

They are a local company and do a great job. I have used them several times and will never use anyone else. They will come on a holiday or a weekend and never charge extra.

We just moved into our house the day before. We were using lots of water running the dishwasher and doing laundry. Our sewer backed up in the basement. I called this company and somebody got back to me within minutes. The guys came over the same day, a Sunday, within 45 minutes. They were quiet and professional and got the job done quickly.

Andrew from Roman's called us right back and was at our house within a few hours on a Sunday.  He was professional, tidy and did an excellent job fixing the problem.   We were very happy with our experience with Roman's, especially because they do not charge extra for weekend or holiday work.  Plus they guarantee their work.  I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Last fall, my brother and sister-in-law flew out to visit for a few days.  With a return flight bright and early on Sunday morning, we decided to toss a load of laundry into the washer on  Saturday night -- after all, why pack dirty clothes.  Even though the throw rug in front of the washer felt wet, I ignored it.  What I couldn't ignore was the tsunami that erupted from the nearby sewer drain  as the washer cycled out.  I was horrified!   I called the plumbing company that I had used for the past six years -- only to have them waste 2 hours trying to find their "on call" technician and finally telling me that there was nothing they could do and that they would "catch me in the morning".   They were perfectly content with leaving me with house guests not having a shower or toilet to use -- and soaking wet laundry in the tub.  And, with a 10:00 a.m. flight out in the morning, this escalated the situation from inconvenient to unacceptable.

The plumbing company's dispatcher offered up the services of Roman's Sewer Cleaning, stating that he used to work for them and they were top notch.  Having no options, I reluctantly agreed.   Since I did not have an opportunity to do any research on this company and I was opening up my house to a total stranger at 9:30 at night, I asked my brother if he would chat with the tech when he arrived and get a read on him.   After talking for just a couple of minutes, my brother was confident and assured me that "this guy knows what he's doing".   And he did.

Not only did he take care of the drain, but he cycled the laundry twice to make sure that there were no back ups.  He was kind, pleasant, efficient -- and professed that he didn't mind being called out late on a Saturday night.  And the bill?  It was their regular rate.  No emergency charge.  No weekend charge.  No late night charge.  Just their regular rate.   Like I said, THESE GUYS ARE MY HERO!!

We have since used Roman's Sewer Service for two drain cleanings at work.  And, because I never want to see an erupting sewer drain again,  I will call them back to my home in the spring for preventative service.

We love Roman’s Sewer Service. We will use them again if we have any problems. They are terrific to deal with and are very responsive. They are a really good company.

I love these people; they are wonderful guys. I have been using them for many years. They will come on holidays and weekends and not charge you extra. They are reasonably priced and I would recommend them.

I was very pleased with the work. The work was good.

I hired them to do work for my mother. She was satisfied with the work. They did a great job on the work itself, but they had some issues when it came to communicating effectively with my parents.

Arrived promptly and finished job within 1 hr. Price was $180 but I have no complaints on that. The tech was a very polite fellow and the drains flush fine now.

They are really good and do a good job. We have been using their services for at least five years. They usually know what exactly what I need. There was one new person who didn't know and I had to tell him what I wanted, but he caught on pretty quickly. Normally when I call them, they know what I want, as it is the yearly thing.

The company has friendly and helpful employees. The crew that came to our house was knowledgeable and considerate. Although, our plumbing lines are easily accessible through the basement pipes, the lead tech decided to do the clean out a different way. He said, that rather than risk getting the basement dirty, he would send the "snake" into the line via the venting pipe on the roof of the house. We really appreciated his thoughtfulness, since we had just moved in and a lot of our belongings were stored in the basement. The crew was quick in completing the job, and the lead tech took the time to explain to me how he analyzed the results. We had hired another company to do the exact same work at our previous residence, and the tech was sloppy and rushed. That "work" was so shoddy, it ended up costing thousands and thousands of dollars to fix. We were very nervous about hiring a contractor again but, working with the folks at Roman's proved to be a stress-free experience.

The only trouble we had was getting them out here because of snow. They won't go on the roof unless it's dry.

They do it very efficiently and very well, and they've been the only company who has been able to do the job. They're fairly reasonable, and I'd recommend them.
