This installation went very well. The estimator did not try to oversell me. He said that since our garage door opener was newer, that it did not look like It needed to be replaced. That impressed me. He gave us a quick onsite estimate. The door got ordered, and when it arrived a few weeks later, it was installed within 4 hours by one person. I was impressed with that also. I would recommend this company.

Raynor sent someone right out, and the service person did a terrific job. Yes, there was a bit of a premium for Sunday and same-day service (of course), but we were very pleased with everything. We will happily used them again. We felt were dealt with very fairly. The service man told us how old our garage door opener was, and let us know that its useful life may be almost over, but he didn't try to rip us off by pressuring us to spend more money on the spot. Honest of him.

Doors are good quality, what we expected. The installation is bad, lots of gaps, not what the salesman described, installers did not follow directions, instructed our framer to put in an inadequate spring pad, did not put the door rails in the location where the salesman stated, openers did not work properly and there is more. Took 6 weeks for the installers to return after repeated contacts; after that work there are still a 1/4 to 3/4 inch gaps on all doors. This heated shop is now drafty, causing snow and water to blow in and freezing. After the one follow up trip, Raynor Door Authority will not respond to e-mails. They may be fine for residential, but our experience is Raynor installers are not good with expensive custom/commercial.

Had Avery bad experience with Overhead Door of Colorado. Service person was not helpful in setting remotes in our cars and door did not open from cars or remote on wall in garage. We had 6 service calls in two months and had the opener removed. Don't use them or recommend them. Do recommend Do recommend Raynor..

They are great. They were prompt and fairly priced. They came out and reviewed the job on the first day and came out next day to do the work.

Raynor immediately called back and we were scheduled for the same day. Technician called to let me know that one of his jobs was running late and asked if I would like to reschedule or wait. I ended up waiting and the service was quick and easy.

Things went extremely well. The door and opener are operating perfectly and the new opener is a belt drive with a lifetime warranty.
I have used this company twice and been completely pleased with all aspects of their service. I would use this companyu again in the future if services are needed and highly recommend this company.

Overhead door on our 2-car garage was making a lot of noise, especially as weather began to get cooler. Also, the electric door opener had started to stick and hesitate, being totally inoperable at times. The house was 4 years old at the time, and we had owned it about 2.5 years. After choosing Raynor based on their Angies List rating, we were able to schedule an appointment within a very reasonable time. Technician "JR" arrived at the scheduled time and evaluated the situation. He indicated that it appeared no recent maintenance had been performed and the lack of lubrication was probably causing the screeching noises and hesitation in the electric opener. He lubricated the appropriate locations, and took the time to show us where we could do it ourselves in the future to avoid service calls for such a simple fix. Also, he checked out the mechanical operation of the door and actually fixed an incorrectly installed component that had been improperly installed by the original builder. Overall, this was a very good experience that eliminated a very annoying problem with the garage door.

We were lied to and cheated by a Raynor employee and got no real help from the company when we complained. We called Raynor to give us a price on repairing a broken garage door. It was apparent that it would cost almost as much to repair the door as to replace it so, to have our two doors match, we had Raynor replace both of them. My husband chose the doors and made clear to the salesman that we would forego the automatic openers, as we had lived without them thus far and they didn't fit our budget. Kurt arrived to install the doors, and when he was finished I noted that there were no handles. How were we to open the doors from the outside? I reiterated that we weren't adding automatic openers. He said he hadn't brought the handles with him and thought it was odd that they hadn't been given to him, but that they could be added later. The conversation then steered toward automatic openers, at which point Kurt said that Raynor gave him their old openers, which he refurbished and installed on the side. He offered to install openers on both doors for a total of $150. We agreed and he came back the next day and installed the first one. He said he would have the other one the next day and would be back to install it then. At that point he asked if we would go ahead and pay him for the installation he had already done. As I prepared to give him half of the money, $75, he asked if we could make it $100, as he needed to pay someone that amount. Then we could just pay him the other $50 when he finished the second installation the next day. So I paid him $100. It never crossed our minds that he was going to cheat us, as we had read all the good reviews of Raynor and just assumed honesty and professionalism on the part of their employees. Of course, Kurt was lying to us. He never showed up and never returned our calls to his cell phone. Finally, after about three weeks, we called Raynor's office and talked to him there. He said he would finish the job the following week but, no surprise by now, he didn't show and didn't call. So we called Raynor's owner, Tim. Tim expressed sympathy but said that the work Kurt had done with the garage door openers was on his own time and that he didn't approve of Kurt's freelancing. Whereas Tim wanted his customers to be happy, he didn't feel that the fact that his employee was making a side business of lying to and cheating Raynor's customers was his company's responsibility. We pointed out that we were not at all comfortable about the fact that we had given Kurt a credit card to pay for the installation of the doors or that we had left him alone in a garage full of valuable tools. Tim was quite sure that Kurt could be trusted with our credit card information and our things. Right. However, Tim did talk to Kurt and got him to call us. Kurt acted as if he had no idea we had been trying to contact him and said he was so very busy that, at best, he might be able to finish up our doors in a month or so. Basically, just more delaying and lying. So we called Tim again and Tim talked to Kurt again. This time Kurt, with Tim's knowledge, called and said he'd turn the job over to a coworker, Steve, and Steve would call us. After further delay, Steve did call, but he knew nothing of the agreement we'd had with Kurt or that Kurt was cheating us. So apparently Kurt had lied to him as well. In the end we agreed to pay Steve $125 to install the second door opener. He also installed a keypad so that we could open the door from the outside without the remote, which Kurt had failed to do. Then Steve finished the trim work that Kurt hadn't bothered to do when he originally installed the doors. Steve was courteous and professional and we were impressed that he took the time to finish up the trim work even though he was working on his own time. He also apologized for Kurt. In summary, if Kurt, the installer, had simply installed handles on the garage doors as we originally requested, none of this would have transpired. But, whether through fault of the salesman or the dispatcher or as part of Kurt's plan to sell us openers, he didn't. As a result, we had a long and unsatisfactory experience with Raynor Door Authority. Although Tim was always pleasant when we spoke with him and we can understand why he feels that his employees' side dealings are not his company's responsibility, that doesn't change our experience. So those who choose Raynor to do their work should know that the company is well aware of side deals it's employees make and is willing to let at least one employee lie to and cheat it's customers.
Response from RAYNOR DOOR AUTHORITY OF DENVER
"This was an isolated incident caused by a poor decision of one employee. He was reprimanded. Side work by our employees is discouraged for this very reason. I cannot control the situation when a consumer and an employee acting on his own accord, decide on a contract outside the original scope of work. The moral of this story is: Always choose a reputable company when having a service or installation performed on your home."

I had an emergency with my garage door. A spring broke on the door mechanism and trapped two cars in. I called Raynor and they got someone out quickly. They were friendly, on time and got the job done in about one hour. I was very satisfied.

They were terrific and just wonderful. One of the things I really liked about them was that they really educated me and pointed things out that I did not need to do right at the moment. They told me that I needed to be aware that the spring could break and why it could break and the repercussions if it did break and things like that. The guy was so professional and very concerned.

Theey were easy to contact, I called last minute and while they were busy, they fit me in very quickly, came out, had a look, figured it out right away and even did a bit extra preventative work as part of the deal.

They are good. Their guys are really professional and competent. They are prompt as they can be. They come out normally within four hours of your call. It's great. They know what needs to be done. They are very explanatory. They even programmed the garage remote to my car. I have used them before and I loved it. I would recommend them to others.

At about 11:30am I tried to open the garage door, heard a pop sound and the door stopped. I called Raynor and TJ showed about 2 hours later :). He inspected the damage (door had buckled at top) and I thought he was going to say the door needed to be replaced$$$$$. He installed the strut on top of the door to stabilize it and replaced the rollers all within 45 minutes.

Very well. The company showed up the next day after I called, and after having done an estimate the day before. The work must have been completed in less than two hours. It was all done well, including the replacement of damaged trim, and the "shoring up" of one of our garage door top panels which had been "bowing" under pressure.

Our overhead garage door, suddenly stopped cold on Friday afternoon. Late Saturday morning, we called Raynor. They recommended replacing both springs, gave us an accurate estimate, and indicated they could be here within about three hours. The workman arrived punctually, and completed the job quickly, in less than an hour and satisfactorily. We live in central Denver, where getting anything done the same day is virtually unknown, and especially on a weekend, so this was a truly amazing experience. Our thanks to Raynor and Angie's List.

They showed up later than they had given me the window. BUT he did let me know in the morning that there was a chance he would be on the later side of things and did follow up with me when he was 15 minutes away. He was quick professional and the price was pretty good. I did a search on the internet and found the springs for around $75 and he was there for about 45 min. I thought it was a fair price.
