Stucco Service
I originally contracted with another provider to do the stucco work. However, Robb Short was brought in to get the permits for the job. We found out later this was likely because the original stucco contractor was not properly licensed to do the work. Before work was started, we insisted that a permit be obtained from the city of Denver. They tried to get me to apply for the permit stating that it was cheaper and easier for the homeowner to acquire. I checked with the city of Denver, and I was told that this was not the case and that we should insist that the contractor acquire the permit. After the job was finally done, I asked the contractor, Robb Short, many times to have the final inspection and get the work approved and signed off. After not having any luck getting Robb to get the permit signed off, I contacted the Denver building department. They contacted Robb Short and threatened to revoke his license to work in Denver if he didn't meet with them and complete the paperwork. He met with the inspector from the city of Denver at my house 3 months after the job was completed in June 2010 on September 1st, 2010. Also, during the time that the work was being performed on our house, the state of Colorado was offering a $600.00 rebate that we qualified for. The rebate had a deadline for the paperwork to be submitted by the contractor performing the work in order to receive the rebate. I asked the contractor Robb Short to submit the request and he missed three deadlines. The 3-month time ran out for submitting the paperwork so we were not able to collect the $600.00 rebate.
