Q INTERIOR DESIGN

Very poorly. On the final design and purchase proposal, Q Interior Design did seem to "get it", and their suggestions of the finishes and furniture ranged from a few good pieces, to those that were "OK but not on the mark", to many that were just plain awful. In addition, the total bid for the project was well over $425,000, well above our budget of $125,000, and a number of items we needed were absent from the bid. A number of the pieces on their bid was well overpriced, and not what we wanted. For example, two chandeliers were quoted at $1891 and $633 respectively. We found the exact same chandeliers at Great Indoors for $1579 and $571 normal priced, and on sale were $1289 and $491 respectively. On outdoor furniture we found better quality furniture with a few more pieces and more our style for 40% less than Q Interior Designs quote. A custom dining table was quoted as $17,290 (without the chairs), we found (on our own) another custom table that was very very similar for $5200.00. We failed to see the justification for things that we didn't want or need, and the pricing accordingly. Isn't a designer supposed to be in the best interests of the client? The bottom line is, we believe Q Interior Design wanted to design the home their way with an open checkbook, and not what we wanted. My wife and I ended up not purchasing a single piece from Q design, and discontinued their services.
