Professional Restoration

We called Professional Restoration as our Insurance company recommended them for the water damage claim we had. We had nothing but problems, over and over again. The mitigation group was good - they came out quickly and ripped up our flooring and got the area dried up and I stopped the leak (garbage disposal). The group that handled the repairs, estimates etc were terrible. We had the Project Manager come out and give us our estimate to start work. They were a couple weeks out before they could start work. Well 2/3 days before the work began, he tells us that we needed be in a hotel for week or so for work. Not a big deal but more than 2/3 days notice would have been much appreciated as we needed to arrange housing for our pets. When the movers came to move our appliances/furniture from the kitchen, the real problems started: 1. They damaged my stove moving it into the garage. 2. They attempted to move my fridge into the garage but could not get it through the front door (after taking the door off the hinges). The fridge was so badly dented and scratched, they had to replace 3 of the 4 drawers/doors. 3. I caught them on camera making comments about my husband and I being gay and the pictures we have on our fridge/walls. Incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL. As the refinishing of the hardwood floors was over, the subcontractor they used ended up staining my carpets.. so those had to be professional cleaned. Some of the bottom cabinet kick-boards that had to be replaced did not match so the Project Manager came and stained those himself, in a hurry, and got mismatched stain on the kitchen floors. I spoke to a manager and let him know all the problems we'd been having and that we'd never use PR again. He was professional and courteous. A few days after the work had been completed, we noticed there was ANOTHER leak under the kitchen sink from the fridge water line. When the movers ripped the fridge out they pulled too **** ** the water line and caused a leak. This caused new damage to the flooring that was just replaced. Well the manager sent a mitigation crew out, free of charge, to dry the area and get the boards back into place. Unfortunately the boards are still coming up. So I am back to square one. The manager was nice but did not follow through w/ the discount he said we'd get due to all of the problems we have faced during the repairs of our floors.

This past summer, we found a small mold issue in a closet. I received estimates from three different companies. Professional Restoration had the best price and of the three companies, was the only one that performed all of the work in house (remediation and reconstruction). The other companies contracted out the reconstruction and the costs were much higher. Once the contract was signed, the team came to our house and performed the remediation within a few hours. About a week later, the reconstruction was completed within less than a day. Everyone was very professional. The team kept things clean and I couldn't have been happier with the work and the speed with which the work was completed. I would highly recommend them!

Would have given them all A's except for their plumber. Was 2 hours late one day, didn't show up another and didn't have tools and had to borrow mine. I missed work for his late arrival and for the days he didn't show up. And to have to borrow my tools because "his wife took them out of his Truck" ? Not professional at all. One the other hand all the other work went very well and the two different crews they sent were both outstanding. So in the end I was happy with every them and would recommend.

Two techs came in and efficiently performed their investigation and the whole process took less than 20 minutes. They filed their report with the home office. Result was that the wet areas were all dry and no mold was present (due to restoration work performed by the Condo owner above us).

The initial visit was good and was very professional. The quote came quickly and everything went smoothly. They had an initial remediation team that we really liked. Very respectful, efficient and did a good job. After 4 days of drying out the area, a second team came in a finished up. They too were excellent! Very happy with the work of both. I gave a B for quality however as the Plumber they sent to repair the broken pipe that caused the trouble was to return with a special tool. He called two hours after he was supposed to be there and said he couldn't get the tool that day. We rescheduled for the next day. He showed up an hour and a half late again and didn't have a drill motor (said his wife cleaned out his vehicle and removed it). So I had to let him use mine. Very unprofessional. Left the area he worked a mess as well. Thus the B grade. To be fair, Pro Restoration did a very good job on everything else and overall I am very happy with them. They just need to find a different Plumber.

As they did for me the first time I used this company, they came on time every day and cleaned up the job site at end of job completion.  Very nice people at the job site to work with.  Coordination and communication with us was very good.  Quoted work (scope and cost) met all expectations in the final outcome.  No surprises. 

Again, for the second time, the final result of the Pro Restoration work is excellent.

It has been over 2 months of dealing with getting this repair done. Shocking? I agree- it's a closet. My HOA originally contacted this company to do the repairs. This company is awful - the name and quot;professionaland quot; is far from it. All my days off this summer have been wasted on waiting for repair people - they don't show or are extremely late. The project manager has been a joke - he said he would be out for the final repairs and has never shown up. As I write this - the people doing the flooring are over 2 hours late and no one from this company has returned my phone calls. Do not use this company! If you need a referral - use Restoration Logistics! I used them at my work last year during the big bloods in Boulder and they were great! The only positive thing I can say is the crew that did the tear out and the crew that did the sheet rock were very nice - but they were sub contractors.

Came on time every day and cleaned up the job site at end of job completion.  Coordination and communication with us was very good.  Quoted work (scope and cost) met all expectations in the final outcome.  No surprises.

Professional Restoration was wonderful. They were going to do the job from beginning to end but it was not covered by my insurance so they came in and cleaned up and did lot testing. That’s where I told them, at that point if I could afford them again I would remain. They were very cooperative and they understood completely. They worked with me because at that point I found out that I did not have any insurance coverage I don’t know what the cost will be. They already started the cleaning process. They told me how much it was going to be, left the heaters that were removing the moistures for the next couple days and came pick them up later. They were very professional.

We had a few bumps in the process, but the company representatives were very responsive and professional.  They were accountable for the errors they made did a good job at a fair price.  Yes, I would recommend them.

We were doing the dishes after dinner when we felt water dripping on our feet.  We looked to see where the water was coming from and noticed a large amount of water in our kitchen cupboard below the sink (The garbage disposal had rusted through).  The water was running onto our hardwood floor.  We wiped it up with some towels and I went down stairs into our unfinished basement to check to see if any water had run down there as well.  Water was dripping down the hole where the plumbing drain pipe runs through the cabinet and floor. I checked the subfloor and it was wet as well.  There was also a puddle of water on the concrete floor in the basement. I wiped the subflooring and the concrete floor with a towel.  I placed a bucket under the garbage disposal where it was leaking and turned off the water to the sink.  I wasn't sure exactly what needed to be done from there but was concerned that the water could damage my hardwood flooring, subflooring, cabinet, etc.  I was concerned that water may be underneath the base of the cabinet in the toe kick area. I contacted my insurance company in hopes that they could provide some advice or give me the number to someone who could help.  They were completely unhelpful and said that I needed to file an insurance claim before they could provide me with contacts (restoration clean up services). 
I wasn't sure whether or not I needed to file a claim so I hung up and began looking for restoration clean up services on Angie's List.  I decided to call Professional Restoration Services since they were in the area and had excellent reviews.  When I called, the owner of the company, Randy Benedict, answered the phone. It was around 8:00 or so.  I explained what happened and he said that he could send a crew out in less than one hour if needed.  I was concerned about the after hour charges and the cost for a crew to come out.  He was very friendly and told me what I could do to mitigate the problem (placing fans to blow on the hardwood flooring, in the base of the cabinet, and down the basement to blow on the subflooring to dry the affected areas as well as removing the toe-kick to clean up and dry any water underneath the cabinet, etc.  He was very friendly, patient, and helpful.  He told me that I could call him anytime and that he would even send out a Loss Specialist early the next morning at no charge.  He said that the loss specialist would be able to tell me how serious the damage may be and how much it would cost to repair the damage which would help me know whether or not I needed to file a insurance claim. The next morning I got a call at 6:30 from the Loss Specialist, Al Smith.  He showed up to my house an hour later and checked for damage.  He used a tool to check for the water density in the hardwood floors, cabinet, and subflooring. He said that I had done a good cleaning up and to keep the fans on the affected areas for another day or so. He provided additional advice on how I could further mitigate the issue without paying for a crew to come out, i.e., cleaning with bleach and water, drilling holes in the toe-kick for air circulation, keeping fans on the affected areas.  He even gave me his drill bit because I didn't have one the size that I needed.
I'm glad that I called these guys.  They have integrity, are extremely professional, helpful, friendly, and very customer service oriented.  They could have and should have charged me for the service that they provided but didn't.  If I ever have a disaster or need for professional restoration these are the guys that I'm going to call.

Three day job took a month. Said work was finished hadn't painted shelves or replaced insulation, not to mention did not match finishes. Showed up late, not at all or without calling. Coped major attitude, lazy, rude and shoddy workmanship. Used because insurance adjuster recommended them, found lots of bad reviews on other sites.

The service started July 1st and was completed August 1st.  The quality of the work was topnotch. It shouldn't have taken a month to dry up a basement, take out the mold and do the drywall. I understand that things take time, but the office staff was very discourteous, and there was no communications between the different divisions  in their company. My insurance company called them up and told them that if the work wasn't done, there would be serious issues. Everybody I dealt with was very frustrating in the office end except for one manager, and the workers who came out were very good as well.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The experience was really good. They were extremely prompt. I called them and they met me at the house within 2 hours. Within a week, they had it all done. It was quick and fast. The work was excellent. They matched the texture excellently. They handled everything. They actually got it done a couple of days sooner than they said it was going to take. Both the mold guy and remodel guy showed up at the same time and within 2 hours of my initial phone call. It was at one of my rental properties. They gave me a ballpark that was actually $300 or $400 less but that was because of the asbestos. They had to call in an outside company to do that. They were pretty close on the price.

Very good job, very nice. Big project that had a lot of work to it and they worked very professionally and did a great job. I was very happy with the job of the work and the texture of the painting that was done after the walls were back up and water damage had been taken care of. Got new furniture and had it stained.  You can rely on this company and they have very good communication. Very proud that I ended up hiring them. Recommend them to anyone needing work done in the area. I am a professional engineer in Colorado and I deal with contractors. Because of my background, I have never seen a team work so well in my experience as this company had.

• Restoration services arrived within one hour of the incident whennalmost 22 gallons water was spilled out on the first floor, through the heating ducks, to the basement and into the subbasement as our house which is built on stilts and has clay soil underneath.  they thoroughly dried out all the areas that  were impacted by the water using heatersa,  dryers,  Blowers  and other sucking equipment.   We were set us up with a construction company to do the restoration work.   The people are professional courteous considerate and know what they're doing

The water abatement and mold abatement work was really well done and very good people were brought out so I was Extremely pleased about the quality of the work. The breakdown was in the scheduling process because a lot of times things were have to wait until another person showed to do something and then went before the next task could be started the next person(s) supposed to show,  didn't show up;  so  it was really a mess in terms of scheduling and consequently  the job took at least a Week and one half longer than it really should have taken.  
In summary I'm very pleased with the way the place looks now and the condition of our house. . So even though it did take longer than it should have, i am very pleased with the performance of the company and the construction company that works with them

We checked Angie's List and found Professional Renovation's number near our home.  We called them, and they came out that very afternoon.  After inspecting the damaged area using high tech tools to check moisture content they fully explained their findings, and after getting the go-ahead, quickly began the process of renovation.  They were meticulous in taking off the baseboards without damaging them and marking them so that they could be replaced easily.  They carefully and expertly removed the hardwood flooring that had warped, only removing what had to go. They moved our furniture and appliances with great professionalism.  They set up blowers and heaters immediately to dry the wet areas, and came to check the progress.  They were great to explain the process for the insurance, and they worked well with our insurance adjuster.  They also helped by telling us exactly what the process should be for repairing the damage.  I have severe chemical sensitivities, so they were great in guiding us to the products that would have the least VOC's.  We would use them again in a heartbeat!

Had a water leak from humidifer on furnace which went unnoticed in finished walkout lower lelvel for a couple of days and saturated carpet and pad in several areas.  Attempted to suck up with our shop vac but there was not enough suction to extract all the water.  I contacted a company recommended on Angie's list and left a message.  The owner returned my call within an hour.  He explained the normal process of what would need to be done, pull back carpet in affected areas, remove the water soaked padding, put high powered fans to the damaged area for several days, inspect for mold and put down an anti mold protection and then eventually replace with a new pad and put carpet back and then clean the carpet in affected area.  He told me he could not get to me today, but would call first thing in the morning and schedule a time.  (he had a family emergency and his son was on another job, so had to handle the family issue, which was fine with us as the  hudmidifier had been fixed and was no longer leaking).  He gave me an estimate over the phone based on what I had told him and the square footage involved, 300.00 to 450.00.  The next day he  phoned to schedule time to come and give a specfic estimate but was unable to come due to his family emergency, which I understood.  He gave me the name of Professional Restoration and told me they were very good and would handle my situation.  I phoned them and an estimator came out the next day.  She looked at everything and gave me an estimate of over 3000.00.  I was astonished, based on what I had been told initially.  After discussion and learning that this would not be covered by insurance, the estimator offered to go back to her office and figure it exactly.  She inspected for mold, which there was none, measured and left.  She phone later in the afternoon and told me the cost would be 1500.00.  We had already wasted several days trying to get someone out, so I told her to go ahead.  The same afternoon they sent people to pull up carpet and rip out the soaked pad and place high powered fans to dry out the space.  Another crew returned about 3 days later and found areas still testing as not completely dry, so they repositioned the fans, and left.  A few days later another crew came and laid new pad, replaced the carpet back and stretched it and then cleaned it.  I paid them in full when finished.  My check was cashed within a couple of days, however I received a bill two weeks later, requesting payment of 1502.00 which was over due.  I called and explained that I had paid.  After checking our account, I was told to disregard the bill.

These guys were OUTSTANDING. We ended up only paying our $2500 insurance deductible, but when all said and done, the final bill was appx $40K. We were having our basement finished and this required the area where hardwood floors were to be installed for the cement to be level. The floor installation company did this by grinding the cement down to make it level, producing a massive amounts of cement dust. The "seal" that was put in place to prevent the cement dust from infiltrating the rest of the house was compromised and for four hours straight cement dust pilfered throughout our duct system and into our upstarts living area. From my first call to Professional Restoration to inquire about an estimate (a call answered by the owner, who was very pleasant and empathetic), to the next day when our project manager, Shannon, came and did the estimate, to their communication with our insurance company, to the work they did when we were out of the house, to the follow-up for areas they missed which we noticed after moving back in, they were professional, responsive, punctual and thorough. Any of the staff we had contact with were friendly and very hard workers. We were highly impressed with the entire operation and would refer them or use them again in a heartbeat.

the consultation was fine. the work was split into 2 separate visits, which was inconvenient. the fee for service seemed very high for what was done.

They were really good. They came out right away and pumped out a foot and a half of water throughout the basement. They brought in machines to pull water out of the air and got everything dried out. They packed out all the soaked stuff and took it to their warehouse and are drying it there. They brought a big pod and put it in front of my house to put stuff in just to keep it until we can get the basement redone. They had a structural engineer come out to asses if there was any structural damage and we ended up having to pull down all the paneling to prevent moles, which was already starting to grow. They are going to replace that and they are going to restore whatever furniture that can be restored. Whatever is not salvageable, we just have to pitch, but they were great. There were no complications and I would recommend them to others. They totally came to my rescue. I called them and they came within the hour and it was around 8:30 or 9 at night.

Professional Restoration was awesome. They were punctual and made sure that I was aware of everything they were doing. They worked long hours and didn't even leave for lunch sometimes. I will use them again in the future if necessary.

Their employees were courteous and very professional. Outstanding experience!!
