With my interactions with both the office/scheduling and the technician who did the work, this was a pleasant and productive experience. Pasterkamp's name has replaced other magnetic cards that used to decorate my refrigerator!

I was afraid that they would come out and sell me a whole new furnace because the furnace is old, it's 22 years old. I thought they were going to say that my heat exchanger was cracked or something. The man was prompt, he was efficient and competent. He said by the way that's the gas valve. He showed it to me and showed me why. He showed me the old one and how it was malfunctioning. He was here for half hour. They were fair. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. They were competent, prompt and reasonable. There wasn't much to clean up, so he did well. This was the first time I used the company. I was in this business 30 years ago and I knew about them then. They were known as being pretty good in repair work. When I had this problem knowing other heating companies that when they come out they try to sell you something, I was nervous that this guy would come out and say my furnace was old, and it is old. He didn't even hint at that. He knew what it was, went right to it, fixed it and left.

It went very well. We were even able to get a rebate. We had some trouble receiving the rebate from Public Works, and Pastercamp worked with this to make sure we got the rebate. Their work was excellent. They were thoughtful and cleaned up after themselves. The timing was good, they were pleasant to work with, and the owner gave particular attention to detail. We would highly recommend them.

Installer and NATE certified technician, Dan, arrived each day promptly. He laid protective cloth tarps as he entered the house; put protective film on basement stairs. He reversed the tarps as he left each day. All debris, parts and pieces from removal and install were taken at the end of each work day. Dan's attention to detail was impeccable. He was thorough and meticulous. The difference between his work and the original installation was dramatic. The first day it almost seemed like he was and quot;joggingand quot; from task to task. His response to my inquiry, was 'never left a homeowner without heat on a furnace replacement, don't want to have you be the first'.Dan was joined by Eldon for coordinated efforts to get the new PVC vents through the house walls. They worked well together, each very apparently fully aware of the other's next move.Ed from Sales was informative and took the extra steps to ensure the system would be AHRI certified. This also helps considerably to qualifying for any rebates from the power company. I would describe as realistic and practical. He gave us options and alternatives with the pros and cons for each. We research several companies, representing the and quot;majorand quot; brands and bids from each. The pricing we received was competitive.Pasterkamp was highly recommended by a close friend, and had a great Angie's List rating. In our experience, they certainly delivered and did not disappoint!!!

Estimate provided by "Residential Sales Manager," Ed Denhardt. Original estimate included amounts we might receive in Xcel Energy rebates. Asked back to review bid, since it was too high for us.  He noted specific amounts that we would receive from Xcel on bid so our cost would be about $1000 less, and based on these assurances, agreed to price.  Work was done very well by installer Don.  Xcel rebates received were only $750.  Ed initially stated they would lower costs of install by the $250 difference, however business owners would not agree.  Instead provided 5 year labor warranty and inspection after 1 year.  Not hardly a fair exchange, assuming they did a good job in the first place.  Have yet to receive the labor guaranty or verification that 1 year service would be free in writing, even though we have asked for these several times.

The installer showed up on time and did a wonderful job.  Everything was installed properly and neatly.  After installing the filter and humidifier (and making it work with our Nest thermostat), the installer thoroughly ensured everything worked properly.  I would highly recommend this company.

I called Pasterkamp when our boiler wouldn't fire. This was in a new house we were unfamiliar with. The tech arrived and quickly determined the problem was just a loose wire. I was feeling foolish that I'd paid for a service call for such a simple issue, but the tech more than made it worthwhile. For starters, he quickly replaced the suspect wiring, rather than just wrapping it back in place. He did a top to bottom check on the boiler, identifying another problematic part. He told me it would be a $1000 fix, but never tried to sell me the part. Instead, he showed me a manual workaround to flush the boiler and avoid the expensive repair. That alone earned our business for as long as we have the boiler. Before he left, he also did a quick check of the layout of the system and showed me how to shim radiators to avoid water hammer. I was happy to pay for the service call and 45 minutes of instruction on a boiler system I was unfamiliar with.

The whole process went very well. Ed, who came out to estimate the job was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He was willing to take as much time as needed to answer our questions, and to look at options, from the number of rooms that we wanted air conditioned, to where the lines could be run.
Don, the installer, was very good and professional as well. He made some changes to placement of the units, as Ed told us that he would, all with our consent, and after discussing the options with us, and making sure that we were completely comfortable with the work plan.
We would use Pasterkamp again without hesitation, and we plan to make them our first and only call when our boiler needs a check or repair.

I called for a quote and was provided a $650 quote.  After providing a few pictures Pasterkamp thought we might need an additional component which would have raised the price to $720.  Fortunately we didn't need the extra component and the overall cost ended up at $610.  They did a great job installing the humidifier and also letting us know how it works.  We are very pleased with their work, punctuality and speed of service (I called on Monday and they installed it on Thursday) and price.

went well. on schedule and within price quoted. they were most expensive but i was impressed that sales person looked in actic (the only one to do so). crew seemed to know what they were doing but communication between office and field people was a bit fuzzy and took some time to get some questions answered. inspector said they did a good job and system is working as expected. i'd say that they fofilled thier part of the bargin adaquaitly and i am satisfied with thier work.

The installer (Don) did an outstanding job.  He performed the work as though he was doing it in his own home.  The job took 5 days and he was here on time, worked hard, and took very little time for lunch.  The last day he put in almost a 12 hour day in order to complete the job.  The appearance of the wall units, piping, and condensation lines are very neat and reflect a very professional job.  The electrical work performed by Ken Miller was also very well done. I give this company the highest rating and would recommend them to my friends.

The estimator and service personnel arrived on time (Check 1)I obtained 3 estimates (Pasternak was in the middle of the range).  The estimator Bruce, clearly was knowledgeable about the competing products ( I wanted something between 13-16 seer.)  I also wanted a Rheem unit (because of rated reliability Rheem/Trane/American Std at the top of the pack) He described the pros and cons of the different options and recommended one that he felt would be best suited to how I was going to use the unit.
When I called back later and asked for a different option he gave me one over the phone and advised me to write it down on the written estimate I had been provided earlier (Check 2).  He also advised me on a rebate that was currently available from Xcel (Only estimator to do that)
I had wanted to get a Rheem RARL-037 JEZ, but was advised because I was going to put it with a Lennox heating unit that there might be communication issues between them and I would be better off with the Rheem 14AJM which was cheaper and provide equivalent efficiency since we don't live in a very humid enviroment (dual stage compressors are more useful in humid places)
I took a week to research the different models that were on my estimates Rheem 14AJM-, Lennox XC-17. Lennox 14ACX,  Trane XR-15, Lennox XC-14.  Discovered he was right with regard to the overkill with the dual stage compressor and the Rheem 14AJM actually was quieter 74db compared to the other units 76db for the Lennox 14ACX and 75db for Trane XR-15.
The warranty 10/10 (parts/compressor) was equivalent to what was being offered by the others. One of them offered a 10 yr on labor as well, but the Angie list reviews were marginal.
All my research indicated that the installation quality was critical to the performance of the system and I felt most comfortable with them and based on the other reviews of installations.
Installation day:  Showed up promtly at 9 am as promised (check 4). Electrical sub showed up on time and gave me an estimate on replacing my existing panel with an upgraded 150amp panel (as I had requested earlier)  His estimate was also middle of the road (compared to other estimates obtained separately)
Steve the AC installer laid down a sticky runner mat all the way down to the basement to avoid scuffing up the hardwood and tracking dirt down the carpeting (Check 3) Connecting plenum was replaced, installation was performed flawlessly. The unit was hooked up and the place cleaned up of all scraps of plastic, wire etc.( not one piece was left behind !)Left me with instructions, do's and don't of having an ac.
I would score them a 10/10 for overall performance. Absolutely flawless froms start to finish.
The unit is deathly quiet !!! I can hear my neighbour's unit over my own !! I would recommend their work without qualification

The estimate process was clear.  The salesperson was on time, provided clear descriptions of the products and service, and provided a written estimate onsite.  He did not do a Manual-J test to size the furnace but none of the other five companies we had to our home did either (it's a smaller home, not a lot of variability in terms of which available sizes would be appropriate for this application).

The installation was done very professionally.  The installer was right on time, took care to protect all flooring from the front door all the way to the basement.  He took his time removing the 35 year old furnace without creating any mess (that was left behind at least).  Once the new furnace was in he took the time to review the features and teach me how to use the programmable thermostat.  A separate licensed electrican was used to re-hook the electrical to the furnace.  The city (Denver) inspector approved the installation with no issues.  The scheduling of the inspection was doneby Pasterkamp and the final invoicing in payment was managed efficently and with no suprises.

Overall, a great, no-hassle experience.
