Watch Repair
After trying one jeweler who wouldn't change the battery in my good gold watch because they were afraid of damaging the case, and another watch repair store at the mall that basically wanted to sell me a service contract for $35, I found out about Myrick's on the internet. It is located on the 12th floor of an office building on the 16th Street Mall and appears to be a one-man shop that repairs watches and antique clocks. The gentleman who helped me was very pleasant and quoted me a price of $12 to replace the battery. When it was done, I mentioned that the clasp popped open from time to time. He took it back to the repair room and tightened it for me at no extra charge. The watch is working well now and the clasp is nice and secure. I would not hesitate to recommend the shop to others, and plan to bring in another watch of mine for servicing.
