Mountain Crest Mortgage

I had the occasion to submit a loan application to Kym Poladski, Pearl St., Denver, CO with Guaranteed Rate in November, 2013. She was referred to me by my real estate agent, so I agreed to sign a $500 non refundable application fee to process the loan. As it turned out, Guaranteed Rate could not underwrite the loan. Six months later, at the end of May, 2014, the $500 charge shows up on my Visa card. While I am not disputing the charge, as I signed the Guaranteed Rate Application, I would not use her or anyone associated with Guaranteed Rate as there are so many lenders that do not charge a non refundable fee. I also think it that waiting six months to assess the $500 Application Fee is very unusual and did not receive a courtesy call by Ms. Poladski to let me know this charge was pending. When I emailed Ms. Poladski to seek her input, I did not receive any response. I was able to get a loan for the same amount that I had applied for, with much less hassle than I received from Guaranteed Rate and without having to pay anything up front.

Interest rates were fluctuating wildly when were trying to finalize our mortgage in April/May of 2009. Two weeks before our closing date, we were about to walk away from our house because of concerns about financing. But our realtor recommended Sloan Holloway and I'm so glad we contacted him! Not only did he drop our monthly mortgage payment by over $200, but he also helped us avoid paying mortgage insurance. AND he finalized our new mortgage WITHIN TWO WEEKS and in time for our original closing date!! He truly worked miracles!! As an added bonus, Sloan attended the closing for our first home. The Escrow officer was obviously surprised and said that he rarely, if ever, sees mortgage bankers at closings anymore. He went above and beyond and stayed for the entire meeting (even past both realtors, who had to leave early!). Needless to say, he was truly a pleasure to work with and I can't say enough good things about working with him! I would highly recommend him to anyone and I've passed along his name to many others who are in the process of buying a home.
