MBH&A arrived on time and assessed the damages. This was an old R22 unit that came with the house and so repair parts and refrigerant are not available or desirable (R22). MBH&A had a range of options for replacement which we chose from and got a substantial rebate for retiring a freon system. From the time the MBH&A rep arrived until we had a new unit installed and tested was just under 4 hours. This included replacement of the coils in the central air unit. The service visit was $84.00.

They have been very good. They come out every spring to do a service check to make sure everything is in good working order for the coming year. They are very responsive.

It was a good experience. Their response time was really good, and they estimated the project, and they did exactly what they had estimated. They were clean, and they did what they said they were going to do, in a timely fashion.

Our furnace blew out in Nov of 2011 and we contacted four companies to give us quotes on a new one. Mountain Breeze came in well under the other companies price and gave us a great deal on installing an air conditioner at the same time. Both systems have run with no issues since they were installed and Mountain Breeze calls every spring and fall to schedule the maintenance check on both systems. They are punctual for those appointments and always send a nice courteous professional to do the work.
I have recommended them to friends in the past and will continue to do so.

Owner (Jim) serviced the air conditioner the previous summer and is suspected of deliberately damaging the inducer blower motor at that time.  Furnace would not start up last October, and I caller another service provider who noticed what appeared to be a hole from a screw that was driven into the windings of the inducer blower motor.
After I called the office of Mountain Breeze to explain the situation,  Jim came over to the house and was very irate and aggressive.  He began to perform unauthorized repairs to the furnace before I arrived, and he reinstalled a control module that had the back cover removed.  This caused the main blower motor to short out requiring replacement.
Although he was very competent and worked hard, his tactics were hard sell to my wife, and he showed a lack of respect and professionalism.
Response from Mountain Breeze Heating and Air
"We replaced an inducer motor for this customer which had simply shorted out and was under part warranty. The previous company who went out quoted a much higher price and did not inform him that the part was under warranty. We also replace a blower motor which had been put in by someone else incorrectly and burned out. Our tech did this for a price lower than the other company quoted for just the inducer motor. Everything worked perfectly thanks to the professionalism and A+ service by our tech!!"

I came home from vacation to find my AC a goner. I called on Monday and they were there the next morning at 8am. I was sure I was going to be told I needed an entire new unit, but he tested a variety of things and said it was the fan motor. He replaced it on the spot, and did additional clean up and maintenance. Because I'm a home owner who doesn't know much about appliances or fixing such items, I asked many questions. He was very informative not only about this repair, but future maintenance, the different types of AC systems, new regulations etc. Also, he took great care to always use protective covers over his shoes while walking through my house. Much appreciated all around!
