Went great, I asked them to check tail light also.  When finished, they forgot to check light so replaced it for free, fast , in and out

I have had to travel to Mike Shaw on 3 separate occasions for some work that needed to be done on the Subaru I'd purchased from them in 2011. There was a recall, my USB port quit working, my rearview mirror fell off, and a few other minor tweaks. I've always had great service from them. They are friendly, they work hard to let me know when something is covered by warranty vs. having to pay, and they (as far as i can tell) do good work. My only 2 frustrations with them are that they don't seem to be able to fit someone in on a drop in without an appt, and the location is very far from work or home for me. When I have to drive back a second time, it's a good 30 min each way.

I took the car in in the morning and left it.  The service representative was helpful in determining what needed to be done.  He promised the car would be ready in the late afternoon.  The car was ready when promised.  The temperature gauge is working perfectly.

The salesman, who I believe was in his early 20's, seemed to really want to wheel and deal. He high-balled us on the price and kept going back to his superior to get approval on price reductions. The best interest rate they could get for us was 2.9%, even though my credit score was well above 800.
As for the window tinting and clear bra installation, they said it would take about an hour or two and they'd call me when I could come pick it up. That call never came. I finally called the dealership 4 to 5 hours later, only to be told that the job had been done for hours, and that there was a breakdown in communication at the dealership. I had to reschedule several errands I'd set up for that day. They also failed to warn me not to roll down the windows for 3 days. The only reason I found out is that I called the dealership after picking up the car and asked about why there was masking tape over the power window switches. I'm glad I called before I simply rolled down the windows. They offered a free oil change to make it up to me. However, I'd already purchased a maintenance plan, so I'd already paid for oil changes for the next 2 years, which now that I think about it, wasn't a good idea, since I'm now paying 2.9% interest on those oil changes that likely would've been even cheaper had I paid for them one at a time. So they offered to have the car detailed for free. However, the car is brand new, and doesn't need detailing. I asked 2 people at the dealership to email me something in writing so that I'd have something to take with me months from now that would show I was entitled to a free detail. I've yet to receive an email from either person I gave my email address to.

They had a variety of cars there and the salesmen were excellent. They were never too pushy and they actually found the car that I was wanting when I walked in the dealership. I would recommend them only because they are not in with the rest of the dealerships around here trying to scam people. This place is nothing like the rest of the dealerships they are great.

They were very good by getting me in and out the same day. They are very thorough and professional in their work. Even though they are a little far from me, I still like to use them and recommend them.
