The short version is they broke a crystal bowl in the bathroom (which they admitted) but then they did not clean it up. There were many large shards of glass left behind on the floor and in the carpet. Some were the size of a kidney bean. I have pictures. I found this out by walking barefoot in my bathroom and cutting my foot. I called the office manager (Marisol) and told her what happened. She said that the owner (Amy) would call me back. She never did.
Some other examples include:
The price is slightly high. My previous cleaning company charged $110. Maid Parade charged $135. I'm currently interviewing new companies and got an estimate yesterday of $110.
Also, the cleanings were always a little sloppy. They would leave food particles in the kitchen sink, toothpaste on bathroom sinks, and not replace trash can liners. I called the office several times about those items (I had to call 3 times about the trash can liners) but after a while I got tired of calling to report mistakes.
There were also a lot of difficulties with them needing to reschedule. I had a cleaning company for 6 years before Maid Parade and never once had those types of scheduling problems. The most frustrating experience was last winter. Amy called me the day before a snow storm was due and said that they follow Denver Public Schools and wouldn't clean if DPS was closed. The next day DPS was OPEN and they never showed up. I finally called and she said that the weather was too dangerous. I had unnecessarily driven my dog to day care (in and quot;dangerousand quot; weather) and paid $20. If you tell a client you follow DPS, then you should follow DPS.
The owner (Amy) is difficult to work with and unprofessional. I would never recommend Maid Parade.
