Unfortunately we had a leak from our tube in going to our automatic ice cube maker  and it leak under it was a real slow leak and so it had really  spread by the time we noticed it so we ended up having to replaced the floor. Their pricing is pretty good, they are slow on installation they are backed up.

After a horrible experience with another contractor, I found MacDonald Hardwood, having determined that they had installed the hardwood downstairs for the seller of my new home.  When I called Jeff and explained the situation, he moved appointments around on his calendar to come do the measurements and estimate and he was even early for the appointment.  He provided an estimate on the spot, giving me three different prices for different combinations of rooms, hallways and stairs.  Knowing my move date and that I wanted to have the floors done before I moved, he found a way to fit in my week long install, even though his installers' calendars weren't really open until the beginning of 2016.  Even more, he came out on a Saturday, his day off, to drop off baseboard for me to paint, since we discovered on the day that the wood was to be dropped that the key I had provided only opened the exterior doors to the house.  This was a huge inconvenience to Jeff, and I couldn't help, since I was out of state on business.  He found a way to make everything work for the entire job, and the hardwood looks beyond amazing.  What tremendous customer service!

Tore up wall to wall carpet, leveled hallway and installed hardwood in four bedrooms, upstairs hallway and stairs.

They are fantastic. I am extremely happy with them. They are a great people to deal with and they gave me a very reasonable price. They are just extremely courteous and responsive. They are just excellent, they do excellent high quality work. We had a slide after about four months and the guy came in and repaired it for us. Their price is very reasonable. I have had three quotes from other floor people and they are the best.

I was not pleased at all with this company. They were not professional, damaged my floors, and complained the entire time they were in my home.

They offer more options and that was basically why we used them. The salesmen were great. They were very decent and informed. They also have a couple of great guys.

This was our second purchase and installation through MacDonald's.  We did the majority of our main floor 6 years ago and could not have been more impressed with the sales staff, the wood we chose, and the absolute best installation by Bud.  Bud was clean, very personable, and knows his craft to the point that there was virtually no waste in the installation.  We were able to return a couple of boxes of wood that he did not need to use.  Money saver!  Because this wood has been so good, we recently decided to rip out the tile in our kitchen and go back to MacDonald's to purchase enough wood for the room.  Excellent sales experience.  We then contacted Bud and asked him to do the installation.  He is a very busy installer with MacDonald but is very much worth waiting for.  He did a beautifully professional job with the installation and again, had no waste so that we have 1 extra full box of wood to save for when we do our stairs going up to the second floor. We could be MacDonald's best cheerleaders!  From start to finish, and especially for having an installer as good as Bud is...kudos!

They provide very high quality products at a reasonable price.  I would use them again in the future.

went great! The wood is exactly what we wanted. The installers did a wonderful job, and cleaned up behind them. Although we removed the smaller furniture, the larger pieces they moved around. They framed the vents very nicely, and all vents were inset. We talked to several companies; I believe we went with the best - we're very happy with the job.

Overall OK. We bought the flooring based on their accurate measurements and had it installed. We had a problem with their installers. Installation work was OK, not great. Their work ethic was pretty average--9AM arrivals and they were usually gone by 4.30PM. They did a poor job of cleanup on our driveway and both my wife and I got flat tires from nails they left behind. Also, part of our floor could not have hardwood installed. This was fine, but Macdonald had measured and sold us wood for the entire floor. The installers were telling us that Macdonald mismeasured the wood for the floor and we might run out of wood. After carefully checking all the facts and doing some calculations, we realized that some of the wood we purchased appeared to be missing. We disputed this with Macdonald and they agreed with us and refunded the money for the wood in question. The moral of the story is to watch their installers carefully!

I had to wait several months to have the floors done, due to their annual sale going on at the time. They were very thorough in measuring and explaining the length of time to order and also how many days needed for the installation. In fact, it was actually installed two weeks earlier than the scheduled date. They also bought back the remaining boxes of unused hardwood.

WE LOVE OUR NEW FLOOR. OUR OLD LINOLEUM WAS SO UGLY & OLD. WE ARE GLAD WE TORE OUT OUR OLD FLOORING. INITIALLY, ONE GUY DID THE MEASURING OF THE HOUSE & THOSE MEASUREMENTS WERE LOST, BUT NOW THEY HAVE A NEW MANAGER & HE WAS GOOD. AFTER THE RE-MEASURE, THINGS WENT FINE. I FOUND ONE GAP IN BATHROOM. THEY ARE HAPPY TO COME OUT & FIX A SMALL PROBLEM. IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO CHECK ON THE FLOOR EACH DAY AS THE WORK IS DONE.

THE HARDWOOD IS GREAT. IT BEATS HAVING CARPET, ESPECIALLY WITH ANIMALS. OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THEIR INSTALLER WAS LESS THAN DESIRABLE. WE WERE NOT HAPPY WITH PARTS OF THE INSTALLATION AND TO THIS DAY, THE COMPANY HAS NOT FIXED THE ISSUES.

MACDONALD HARDWOODS SALES STAFF DID A GREAT JOB OF EXPLAINING THE DIFFERENT HARDWOODS, FINISHES AND INSTALLATION TECHNIQUES. THEY ANSWERED ALL OUR QUESTIONS AND WERE VERY PLEASANT TO WORK WITH.
