I had been a client of Lifescape for 25 years. They did work for me at my home and then did a major project on my roof top garden. The roof top work included installing a mister system which for the most part never really worked properly and was been disbanded a few years after installed. Another part of the roof top was installing a drip system in 2008. They maintained the drip system over the years. I began to have problems with the drip system in 2019. Over the last two years after many phone calls, poor follow up and various repair visits, I determined I needed to put in a new system. Lifescapes did not even follow up with a new plan or estimate for a new system after promising to do so. Over the last two years I found them to be unresponsive, unprofessional and unwilling to provide service on their own work.

They show up and they do their job. I have a big yard, but the after a few times the place looks immaculate. They know when to trim the bushes and clean up everything. They have all the equipment that they need to complete the jobs I ask them to do.

Our yard needed work to improve the curb appeal and utility.  Lifescape developed a plan for both the front and the back to achieve our desired results.  We went through a few iterations of the plan to achieve the desired functionality within the budget.  They were very flexible in the design.  They coordinated with our HOA architect to assure that it was consistent with their requirements.  When it came to implementing the work they did a great job.  In the front, they put in a new front walk with lights as well as new sod and reworked the sprinkler system.   The back yard was also updated to improve its functionality. They had a project manager throughout the project who kept me up to date throughout the project.  They finished on time and on budget.  We routinely receive compliments about the new look.

We last used them in June. The quality of work was fantastic, they were punctual, they gave us ideas, and they did exactly what they were supposed to do. They were a the most expensive, but the quality of work was fantastic, and they were punctual and very professional.

Landscape design and construction of backyard.  Customers pay for design up-front and that is credited if Lifescape does the work.  Don't let that approach scare you off!  The designer incorporated all of our ideas and wishes and transcended our expectations!  We now have a wonderful backyard.  This was truly a great experience for us.  Communication was excellent and Tonya was always ready to help.  Crews were very professional, such that our next door neighbor even gave them Halloween candy.  Highly recommend Lifescape!

Excellent service and design.  Very patient throughout the process.  Excellent results.  In addition to the paving stone patio, we had old landscaping removed, a stone wall put up with wood beams to support a roof, and an electrical outlet installed in the wall.  In the end, Dan's design turned out to be fantastic.  We use our patio almost every day now that the weather is nicer.
The only downside was that the price doubled from the initial consultation as our design became a little more involved.  In the end, you get what you pay for.  The workers were very careful with the rest of our landscaping and cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day.  We had some weather delays in February, but once things got started, they finished well within their project window.
A month ago, we noticed cracks along some joints as the ground had settled.  Within a couple of weeks, they sent out a crew and resealed the joints.  There is a lifetime warranty on the pavers, but I don't know if there's anything on the sand.
Great company and excellent craftsmanship.  You could probably find someone cheaper, but you won't find anyone better.

Lifescape Associates designed and constructed an incredible backyard
oasis with a sunken swim spa, patio, sprinklers, planters, lighting,
decking and much more.  Their team was extremely professional, showed up
on time, managed any problems along the way, and communicated the whole
way through.  Give these guys a call!

Lifescape Associates did a wonderful job, from start to finish. The designer captured our intent, and worked diligently with us through the process to make sure everything went smoothly. The workers showed up on the job on time, and worked extremely hard every day until the job was completed. The outcome is terrific, and many passersby in our neighborhood remark on how what an outstanding job this company did. Perhaps they aren't the least expensive landscapers out there, but they do what they say they will do, and on time. Their workers are diligent, pleasant and professional, they stand behind their work, and they deliver a top-notch project. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We interviewed around six landscape companies and Lifescape was the best by far. Dan DeGrush met with me during our initial consultation meeting and was immediately personable and enthusiastic about the project. Of all of the landscape designers that we interviewed, Dan was the only individual that brought with him a list of referrals from clients, information about Lifescape's insurance policy, previous awards and images of previous designs I had to repeatedly ask other companies for this information.

Dan had great ideas for what to do with our small space to make it more usable that were in line with the materials and look I hoped for. He showed me a number of pictures of other spaces in order to get an idea of what I liked. He came back with two renderings that were incredibly detailed and exactly what I was hoping for. We had trouble choosing between the two designs because they were both great options but ended up going with the more expensive option because it provided us with more space for a seating area.

Once work was scheduled, Mike came out from Lifescape and introduced himself to us and also to our neighbors. He gave our neighbors his contact information in the event that any of the work got in their way. I found this to be such a nice way to let our neighbors know that work would be going on without making it a huge nuisance for them. Each of the contractors that came out were professional, respectful and highly skilled. Dan and Mike were involved every step of the way with coming out to check on the site regularly as well as contacting me to ensure that I was happy with each days work. I was impressed at how diligent everyone was at cleaning up the site at the end of the day. With previous construction projects with other companies, metal, nails and trash have been left all over the place that I have had to clean up or complain about. This was never an issue with Lifescape.

We could not have been happier with the finished project. The plant choices are gorgeous and really made our tiny backyard space feel like it was a lush, private garden. The patio work was unbelievable. We have not had any problems with drainage since Lifescape redid the grading and drainage. Dan's idea to redo the deck and move the stairs gave us so much more usable space for a seating area. The dripline has worked seamlessly and I love that I don't have to worry about watering the plants on my own.

We would recommend Lifescape to anyone. The price was absolutely fair for the amount of excellent work that was done from start to fnish. We have hired Lifescape again for winter watering of our plants, to redo the front flower bed and to install a drip irrigation system for the front bed.

Despite the fact that Lifescape is involved with huge projects at multimillion dollar homes, we never felt like our project was less important simply because it was on a smaller scale. We loved our experience with Lifescape!

Our designer had extensive knowledge of the plants, an artistic eye, and he was good at asking the right questions to understand what we want. He was very clever with working around the many challenges and limitations presented by our yard. I think he's used to working with nicer houses and bigger budgets, so we had to ask him to return to the drawing board several times, but he managed to make huge improvements in our landscaping with a budget that seems in keeping with the value of our house. He was patient with the delays caused by our HOA approval process. We started the process in May, and we still have a few punchlist items in October, so it isn't a quick process.

The construction crew was here for about two and a half weeks. After they demo'd the existing landscape, we had torrential rains, and our back yard turned into a mud pit. This caused some delays.

One bad thing happened: the construction people made a bad decision to use a front end loader instead of wheelbarrows to demo tons of rock from our back yard. They drove the loader in the open space next to my house, tearing up the native grasses. On the third day, I arrived home to a park ranger on my doorstep, asking me to remove the loader from the open space. Our project manager was back at the house within minutes, appeasing the park ranger and making plans to make amends. The open space grass was repaired.

The construction workers cleaned up after themselves each day. They were polite and hardworking. The people managing them had the highest expectations. When plants were delivered, they were sent back if they were not perfect. We ended up postponing the installation of a few small trees because top quality specimens were not available late in the year (September). When plants were planted, we were consulted to ensure that we were happy with the placement. We were shown samples and allowed to choose many of the materials. If we asked for something to be removed or repaired, it was done quickly and without complaint.

Lifescapes did both our front and back yard, total landscape. They took most of our landscape down to the bare dirt and moved four existing trees and many bushes. Our designer was really good about re-using our existing bushes and other materials whenever possible, to keep the budget as low as possible and have as full a landscape as possible. They created a play scape area and even installed our swing set in cement. They poured a new concrete pad and moved our hot tub to it. They built a lovely cedar garden box with irrigation. They replaced a dangerous sloping sidewalk with a lovely curving path with hand-hewn stone steps (reusing our existing stone to stay within budget). They expanded the bed in front and significantly improved existing grading by adding boulders on one side. When a second row of boulders was needed and not in the original budget, they absorbed the cost of the additional boulders. They took out our existing lighting and put it back in a way that highlighted the new landscaping.

I thought that their estimate for irrigation was high, but after I saw the work they did, it seemed reasonable. Every single plant had its own drip line. The irrigation is extensive and efficient. They replaced above-ground drainage for our gutters with below-ground pipes and in some cases, sprinkler heads that pop up and re-direct cutter water to the lawn (clever!). Everything they did was a huge improvement on the way it was done before.

They were very patient in working around my four pet chickens. At one point (I am embarrassed to admit), one of my chickens walked on the newly poured concrete pad, and the project manager came back after hours to fix it. Way above and beyond.

What sets Lifescape apart is the quality of the design and materials, and above all customer service. Communication was much better than most contractors. Everyone we worked with was prompt, polite and professional. Everyone made sure that we were completely happy with all of the work they were doing. I highly recommend this company.

It was a very pleasant experience. I have a brand new house so the yard was just dirt. A beautiful plan was drawn up and I was allowed to make choices. Part of the work was done in November and then spring planting was done in April. I have received many compliments on it.  I plan for them to do the front yard soon.

Very professional from start to finish beginning with the initial meeting to discuss what needed to be done all the way to the finish.  The crew that came out to do the job was great-they kept everything very clean and kept to the schedule.  I have had a couple of issues since the job was finished, but they were very quick to respond.  Tonya was the designer I worked with and she was great-listened and made requested changes and quickly responded to all of my questions.  I am very pleased with the outcome.

We spent $35,000. The package included the design. We have to pay extra for the designer. That was huge for me. The price was pretty reasonable. They took everything out and put everything new in; new sprinkler systems, new grass, new planting, new planter bags and new lighting. I will use this company in the future.

I hired this company to install a large patio and seat wall. I met with LeAnn, one of the designers, who came to my house and came up with some plans after she listened to what it was I was looking for. I could tell she really "got" it. The thing I really appreciated about her (which was not true of the other company I had come out to meet with me) is that she was very open to doing our project in stages, over several years if necessary. The first company I spoke with discouraged this and didn't seem all that interested in working like that. LeAnn, however, suggested to me that we might want to break the project up if it exceded our budget(we plan to eventually put in a built in firepit and to wrap our wooden posts with stone). Also the first company (Designs by Sundown, which does great work but didn't really meet my needs for this job) said we would have to take out the concrete slab patio we already had to put in the new one, which would have been added a lot to the budget. Lifescape however said they could pave over it (I didn't have to ask-their idea). At first I was blown away by the estimate (Sundown's was pretty much the same for what I wanted). However, when I saw the process I understood. It took about 2 1/2 weeks. They were here every day by 7 am and worked straight through 5 or 6 pm. There were usually 5 workers here every day. They were very professional and polite. When I had questions about the project the designer and project director were very accessible by phone and E-mail. They had to lay new sod in part of the yard they had to dig up, and came by a couple of weeks after the project was finished to see how the sod was "taking". At that time we mentioned that there was a small paver that cracked, and they took a picture of it to bring back to the office to see if they could replace it.We are thrilled with our new patio and we are looking forward to working with this company again in the future.

It went very well, although we won't see many of the results until the spring/summer. The design process involved meeting with Gary Kayser at our home and giving him a sense of what we wanted. A month later, Daniel, one of the company's designers, met with us to go over a preliminary design. We made some modifications to the design and the company then put together a construction bid. Unlike many landscape designers, Lifescape is a design/build firm. Once we accepted the bid and signed a contract, the landscaping was scheduled. The total time was about five days, interrupted by a snow storm. Lifescape removed a tree, several bushes, ivy that was covering the walls, and some ground cover. They extended the front bed, converted the irrigation system to a drip system for all of the plantings and trees, installed a new flagstone path on the side of the house, added four low voltage landscape lights, and planted and mulched the beds with a variety of shrubs, ground cover and perennials.
