Have had Leafguard gutters on my house for several years. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Yes, they keep the leaves out of the gutters, but they are an absolute freaking nightmare in the winter - icicle build-up like you can't believe! Not one other house in my subdivision has icicles but then none of them have Leafguard gutters either. I have a detached garage, and the gutters and resulting icicles cause solid ice on the the sidewalk between the house and garage. I had Leafguard come out a couple years ago to look at the problem and they told me its because the cold air runs under the Leafguard, as well as above it - similar to what happens with a road bridge. So when the sun hits the snow on your roof and it starts to melt (even in below freezing temps), the water freezes on the Leafguard and doesn't go over the lip into the gutter. Leaguard's solution after they came out and looked at what is happening was to recommend spending a few thousand more dollars to put a heating coil on their gutters, and even then they wouldn't guarantee this would solve the problem. I'm seriously considering having them come out and remove the ones between the house and garage.

The product is very good and works as advertised.  The issue was with the design and installation.  When they put it in the back they put it through the deck and didn’t put an extension leading out from under the deck.  So over the course of 40 months, water was leading towards the foundation of the house causing substantial issues, resulting in the foundation actually shifting. It is disappointing because the product is excellent, but the way this was handled was

We signed the contract on July 28,2011.  At that time, we were preparing to leave for vacation and requested that the work be postponed until after we returned on August 23rd.  We were assured that the installation would take place after  August 24th.  When we returned home, the gutters had already been installed in a very shoddy and unsatisfactory manner.  We called and complained, and 2 men came to our home and spent an entire day working on the gutters.
We did not sign the certificate of completion because we were not satisfied that the gutters were installed properly.
From the first snowfall in 2011 to the current time, the roofline has been filled with icicles.
When we signed the contract, the salesman said that the gutters would not prevent or eliminate icicles.  We did not see this as a problem because WE HAD NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ICICLES IN THE 35 YEARS WE HAD LIVED IN THIS HOUSE.  WE WERE NOT TOLD THAT THE GUTTERS WOULD CREATE ICICLES.
The manager of Leaf Guard has been to our home two times to view the icicles and to discuss the problem with us.  He told us that the problem was our fault because our house was not properly insulated.  (Keep in mind, we had never had problems with icicles before.) The only solution he presents to us is the installation of heaters for the gutters -at our expense, of course.
Now, more than one year later, we are still plagued with icicles - even with minor snow - and have received no satisfaction.  We would NEVER recommend installation of Leaf Guard gutter systems.   When we walk out the door to our deck, we have icicles - some 4 feet long, that must be removed for our safety.
We believe that the contract we signed is misleading regarding the formation of icicles.  It states, "Ice formation is mostly caused by factors not related to your gutter system."  AND YET, OUR ICICLE PROBLEM BEGAN WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THESE GUTTERS.
We are disappointed with the installation, and the function of the gutters - especially since we were led to believe that Leaf Guard was the best and most efficient gutter system on the market.  We are also disappointed in the response of the manager of Leaf Guard.  We are still exploring avenues to resolve this situation - over one year later!

I contacted Leaf Guard and a representative came to the house and took measurements and gave me a quote the same day.. I compared their system to other gutter systems and they appeared to have a good reputation reliable performance.

There system is expensive but I do not have to go 3 storied up on my house to clean gutters.

The product was delivered one day, arriving in several long one piece sections and the install took place the very next day. The installers were polite, cleaned up after, and were efficient. The removal of the old gutters and downspouts when off without a problem. The new gutters were installed and appear to be a seamless part of the house. They redirected the downspout on one corner so that it would run from the house more easily. Of course the heavy rains have let up, but the new gutters have handled the rain we have had well, running over the rounded top and into the gutter as advertised. The few leaves that have fallen, have flown right off, giving hope that this fall will have minimal trips to the roof.

They were good! They don't compare with anyone else. I was satisfied with the price. When the crew came, they did a quick and good job. I called them, they set a date, and came. It is a one of a kind product. The quality of their work was excellent! Once they set the appointment, they were here on time.
