LAMPERT HITCH

My car is 10 years old, so that accounted for most of the delay.  I suppose most people put a hitch on within the first couple of years of the model year.  It took about 7 weeks for the hitch to arrive, but they got me in that day for the installation.  It seems to be a good job.  It supports the bike rack and a bike, though I haven't road-tested it yet.  I should have brought the rack down with me.  If I had, that may have avoided a couple of issues.  The hitch is set about 3/4" in too far for my liking.  That distance is too small for an adjustment, I think.  I also needed a threaded lock but the rack is an off brand, so there's no telling what will fit without actually trying it out.  The rep said that each manufacturer may have its own threading standards.  I went there mainly on the recommendation of my brother-in-law and I'm not sorry I did.  The price was cheaper than other places I checked.  I got an e-mail estimate of costs and brought it with me.  Apparently the price went up over the 7 weeks, but they honored the initial quote.

I took my truck in to Lampert for a quote to have a hitch I purchased elsewhere installed. They quoted me $75 for the installation and I agreed. They were able to get me in quickly. When they were done (about 30 min later) they had informed me that some of the nuts that were welded to the truck were stripped out. They re-drilled them and got them installed no problem. Along with the quick and great service, the total ended up costing only $55. 
I would highly recommend Lampert Hitch based on the quality of work and the customer service I received.
