I had to call Lakewood Garage Door to correct the dishonest and shoddy service I got from another local company. The lady who answered the phone was pleasant and helpful, and the service call cost was reasonable. The young serviceman responded within about an hour, was knowledgeable and quickly repaired the problem. Not only that, he did adjustments and lubricated hinges, things that the previous company hadn't done, and made sure everything was perfect before he left. I would highly recommend Lakewood Garage Door to anyone needing their services. Their quality and value can't be matched.

Everything was perfect. I called and left a message around 10:30 am and a very nice woman got back to me within 30 minutes. She said one of their guys would get back to me soon and schedule a time to come to my house. Ryan called and let me know he'd be able to come by in a couple of hours. Sure enough he arrived just when he said he would, and fixed my garage door no problem. He even took a look at another door that sometimes gave me some trouble. I will absolutely use them again in the future.

Saturday hours were listed as opening at 7:00 am.  At 7:02 Stuart (owner) answered my call.  No recording.  Quoted a price.  Promised to call before arriving.  Did so.  Arrived on time.  Estimated time needed for repair.  Exact.  After the repair he performed complimentary routine maintenance, including tightening a loose light bulb.  Pointed out possible issues in future to watch for.  No pressure.

One of two heavy duty springs broke on our garage door. Lakewood came out that morning to replace them. The were very knowledgeable, nice, professional, and efficient. They gave us the option of using 4 smaller springs or 2 heavy duty ones. Explained the calculations based on spring factors. Also did routine maintenance on the door that was included in the price. We were very happy with them.

I thought it went great. This was our fourth provider that we called. The first was a prior vendor we had used; he never showed up. The second vendor gave us a two-hour time frame, at the end of the time frame he called to say he'd be 1.5 hrs late. We had to leave and couldn't wait. The third vendor we selected from an ad on the radio - they came and worked on the door. It worked while they were here, but it stopped working right after they left. When I called them, they said they'd be right back out - but they never showed. Finally, we found Lakewood Precision through Angie's List. They came when they said they would, knew exactly what the problem was, and actually fixed it. Sam was pleasant, obviously knows his trade very well. Glad they left us a peel-and-stick calling card to place next to our opener - because we will absolutely call them for any future garage door needs.

Things went well.  They called to give us a window and actually showed up early.   When he got here, he explained what he was going to do and how long it should take.  There were no surprises.  It was a great experience all in all.

Awsome! Ryan called when he was suppose to, to set up a time to come look at the opener. He then arrived when he said he would. He had the problem fixed in about 1 hour or less. Ryan was very polite and pleasant. Even my dog really liked him. My husband and I swear the garage door opens and closes smoother now then it ever did and it seems quieter too. Ryan made this repair job quite painless for me and improved the performance of our garage door opener.  A big thank you goes out to Ryan from us.

Called and receptionist and set up time.  Given a morning appointment that service man would be here.  Service man would call and set up an exact time.   Call received and 9 am was agreed to.  Service man rang door bell at EXACTLY at 8:59 am!  Work was done quickly and to my complete satisfaction.  Additional minor services were performed  at no charge.  Door is operating beautifullly.  The service man was friendly and very pleasant and personable.

My garage door was accordian pleated after my friend backed his tailgate into the edge. Stuart was totally helpful and fair. It happened Thursday; on Friday Stuart checked it out and made it manually operable - and left me a brochure for new panels. I didn't need new tracks or springs but then I decided to get an insulated door (for only $100 more) and then I needed new springs. Stuart gave me options and the info I needed to make intelligent decisions. I think the price was very fair. This is the second time I used this provider; they set me up with new openers when I moved into my new house. They're great and I definitely recommend them.

On May 15, 2003 I found that my old Stanley garage door opener had stopped working after having hit an object on closing.
I phoned Lakewood Precision Garage Door about 8:00 the next morning, May 16, and spoke to Stuart Lane.  He came out that same morning within an hour or two.  He examined the motor unit and pointed out to me the parts that had broken in half.  He told me that Stanley had been out of the garage door opener business for several years and that parts were no longer available, that the opener would need to be replaced , that LiftMaster was the primary opener installed today and that they could install one for me with two remotes for $325.  I agreed and it was arranged that someone would be out the next morning.
Ryan arrived about 11:15 the next morning.  He installed the new opener with all its parts including safety reversing sensors and door control panel.  He worked with obvious knowledge and competency and answered all my questions, completing the job in about 1 & 1/2 hours.
Everything went very well.  I was very pleased with both of them.

Outstanding. Our 27 year old garage door opening system failed and came crashing down, trapping 2 cars behind the 500 pound door. Lakewood Precision Garage Door came out quickly, and did a great job replacing our torsional springs and garage door opener. We got the 3/4 horsepower, belt driven model that is very quiet. Lakewood Precision beat another highly rated competitors bid by over $100. They are a family owned operation and are very professional. I highly recommend their excellent services.

I knocked my garage door off of the rails. Robert came and put it back on, as well as the bottom flange and rubber that I had scraped off. He also tightened the coil and oiled the hinges. It only took about 1/2 an hour.

I found out about Lakewood Garage Door from the sticker on the door opener button in my garage when I bought the house in 1998. I have been using Lakewood Garage for over 14 years. They have service my garage door 4-5 times. They are very knowledgable about garage doors and will do their upmost to get your garage door working the best it can. I really appreciate their effort to keep my older garage door operational. On the latest call, they replaced the door spring. The work was done very professionally and the stand behind their work. When the time comes for replacement, I will only call Lakewood Garage Doors. Thanks Stuart, Vonda and Greg.

On a Sunday afternoon our automatic garage door would not stay closed.  As soon as it would hit the ground, it would bounce back up.  After trying unsuccessfully to fix it, we lowered it manually and secured the door.  I called Lakewood Precision Garage Door that afternoon and left a voice mail.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call back within an hour, and since the door was secure, the technician said he'd be out first thing the next morning.  He arrived by 9:00 and set to work figuring out what the problem could be.  He then explained each possible fix he was going to try, starting with a basic calibration, clean & lube (least expensive), to replacing the entire unit (most expensive), with other options in between.  Lucky for us, the least expensive option worked.

We'll now be sure to call them every year for annual preventive maintenance, rather than wait for an emergency.

this is actually the second time i've used these folks - and i've been impressed both times.

our garage door opener is a bit twingy.  actually found these guys through a sticker by the opener.

both times, they've come out within a day or two - once for a broken gear (worn out) the other time for a spring that went bad.

they arrived pretty close to "on time" (they called when they were going to be more than 5 minutes late) and had the door opening again within an hour of their arrival (the day after the call in both cases).

Hired Lakewood Garage Door after seeing other reviews.  Couldn't have been happier.  My very heavy garage door that required two commercial springs had one spring break and it was impossible to lift.  These guys came out and worked out a solution to use more smaller springs so that if one broke in the future then it would be easier to lift manually. Were very reasonable in prices and very responsive.Shortly thereafter, had another issue where door wasn't closing and they came out and replace a wire for me that was totally unrelated to the first issue.Great prices, great service, very responsive.  Couldn't ask for more.

Having had excellent service from this company ten years ago, I phoned them on a Friday morning because my garage door would not open. Stewart called back at 5:30 that day to say he could fix my garage door the next day, depending on the weather. He called Saturday morning to say he could do the job at 10:30. He arrived at 10:30 on a cold, snowy Saturday and said the job would take about 45 minutes. Forty-five minutes later, the job was done. He replaced both torsion coils. The garage door works fine.
