Lake Ridge Ace Hardware

This is my go-to hardware store in the Denver metro area. It's bigger than most Ace locations, and I don't mind driving across town to gain much-needed knowledge from their great staff! I have a 100-year-old home and often need advice on how to tackle repairs. I usually get all my questions answered -- and if they don't know, they steer me in the right direction. It's all about the details here: which caulk or adhesive might be better for my situation; how can I best repair my concrete sink or some old plumbing. "You'll need a lead anchor to attach that to brick -- as lead won't break it," they recently told me. And one of their great staffers introduced me to Rescue Tape -- my new favorite product! As a woman, I appreciate that they don't talk down to me and treat me like I was born yesterday or the day before. (They seem to appreciate my willingness to dive in and give it a go.) This is a level of customer service I've never experienced at the big-box stores. It's Mayberry here! I receive coupons in the mail, and Ace often has weekly sales fliers, so I don't feel I'm paying that much more than the competition. What I get in advice is worth any difference. There are two other Ace Hardware stores closer to me, but this store is fabulous!
