Do Not Hire This Contractor! This job started in early July and we finally received the last of the materials in mid Oct. I made the mistake of paying them 60% of the total contract price at the beginning of the job for purchase of materials and another 25% when the cabinets arrived. They told us the job would be completed in 3 weeks. One of the reasons I hired this company was because we wanted it done fast. This job was supposed to be completed by Aug 12th. If I would have known it would take this long, I would have hired another contractor or done it myself. My wife stayed at home every day for over 3 months waiting for contractors to show up. They rarely showed up before 10am and often took days off. They came less than half of the days during the 3 months. Owners never stick to what they say is going to be done on certain days. There was no project manager, foreman, quality control, or any effort to see how the job was progressing or more importantly, the lack of progress. They have sent 12 or more different guys. There is a major lack of communication between management and contractors. I believe they are all hired from Craigslist. They kept sending one contractor at a time for each part of the job. All of the guys that worked on the kitchen had to come back and fix or redo issues due to poor workmanship and poor communication with the management of Kitchens 2 Go. Their many different contractors made a mess of our house, both inside and outside, and did a poor job of cleaning up before they left (on the days they did show up). The majority of the kitchen was done with very poor quality craftsmanship. It?s been over 3 ½ months and the kitchen remodel isn't finished yet. I can?t begin to count the number of phone calls we?ve made and emails we've sent trying to get mistakes corrected and get the kitchen finished. All of our cabinets have no doors or drawer fronts. We have the doors and drawer fronts but they are not stained or finished. 4 of the doors will need to be bought by us due to the wrong door being ordered by Kitchens 2 Go. Our new $2000 refrigerator was scratched during installation. The microwave was installed wrong. I had to remove and reinstall it. I installed the dishwasher, disposer, and range because I couldn?t trust their people to do it correctly. We will not let them back due to the damage to our appliances. We have already had to hire another plumber to correct mistakes their 3 different plumbers made. The kitchen is still barely usable. We will have to hire a competent contractor to fix all the mistakes and complete the kitchen at our expense. We paid thousands of dollars for bad work. So heed our warning and don't hire them! I don't believe they'll be in business long with their unprofessional work ethic. Very Poor Quality Craftsmanship Very Poor Management Would Not Use Again I Do Not Recommend This Company!

I gutted the whole kitchen out and contracted this company to finish the job. I should start of first by saying this job started in April. I made the mistake of paying them in full at the beginning of the job. They have sent 10 or more guys out here directly from Craigslist to work. They keep sending people to complete the one job at a time. The guys have no idea what they are doing and are just being sent out to please me. This job was supposed to already be completed. I took off work one day to be here for the cabinet install expecting everything to be complete at the end of the day. The only reason I hired this company was because I wanted it done fast. If I would have known it would take this long, I would have done it myself. All the guys did was show up for 20 min and drop the cabinets off. I'm still waiting on everything to be finished. I would not recommend this company.

Pretty bad experience. In the end, after 2 months of construction, we ended up with a fantastic looking kitchen, but it was mostly due to our input and design, not theirs. We also subcontracted the counter installation and tiling with someone else. Kitchens to go was responsible for new flooring, cabinets, trim work, rewiring and electrical and adjusting some walls. I will say this. The cabinets were cheap, but they look great and 2 yrs later, we haven't had any problems with them. The person who installed the cabinets and custom molding did a great job, and it's the only reason I gave them a score better than an F. For cabinets, I would use them again. For anything else I would not. I originally contacted them just for cabinets. Herman was very nice to work with at the start. For the cabinets, we came up with our own layout and design. A good thing that we did, because even after we did so, and they came out to measure, they still got one of the cabinets wrong, and we almost couldn't fit our fridge after everything was installed. We raised the alarm with them early about this, but they said they "knew what they were doing". Yeah right. The fridge just barely fit. It has about 1/8 space on each side IF THAT, which really isn't enough, and takes some very careful moving if you have to move it in or out for any reason. Fact is, they just got lucky that it fit at all. In addition, some cabinets were damaged on arrival, and we had to come up with ways to use trim to cover damage. Otherwise they said it would take another 6 weeks for new cabinets to arrive, which would have delayed all aspects of our full remodel. They also obviously forgot to order one cabinet, which slowed down the whole remodel, because once we had floors done and electrical and everything ready to install, the cabinets sat in our house for another 2 weeks with no one really coming to the house to install them because we were still waiting on a corner cabinet. They never admitted to it not being ordered. Just kept coming up with excuses for delays, but clearly it must not have been ordered. I would never use them for anything else other than cabinets. They installed hardwood floors, and it was cheap, but there were a number of areas that had to be redone where boards were flexing quite a lot. A year later we still had issues that had to be repaired. Now about 1 1/2 yrs later we still have cracks between boards, but we'll fill them ourselves or use someone else. I can only guess that the wood they used was cheap, but you get what you pay for. Their electrician was also cheap. Hopefully wired things correctly, but he used the wrong type of ceiling cans, which resulted in lights constantly overheating. The electrician didn't know why. I was the one that figured out that the cans were the wrong type, and I had to crawl into my attic to add metal sheeting around the cans to keep insulation away from them in order to prevent them from overheating. You would think an electrician would at least know which ceiling cans to use. The other major problem was a complete lack of communication. Herman or his son never once during 2 months of remodeling, came to the house to supervise or inspect any work. They didn't even come to see the finished project. I had to call them almost daily to see if anyone was coming to our house each day to do work, and if so, when they were showing up. Once they showed up, they didn't always know what they were suppose to be doing. I had to come by the house daily to supervise to make sure things were being done correctly or to coordinate timing of things. For instance, the drywaller covered up things before electrical and plumbing was done, so we had to open up walls again to gain access and have them redo it. Floors had to be redone when the hard wood floor guy used the wrong finish the first time. Again, if you need some cheap good looking cabinets, I would use them again for that, but not for anything else.

Kitchens 2 Go came out and installed countertops and backsplash. They came the day they said they would, and they finished it within the time period. All the guys that they sent out were really professional about everything. My wife noticed some scratches in the coutertop surface and they came right out to fix them. Over all we were very pleased.

In looking for providers to renovate my kitchen I did a great deal of searching around for providers and vetting the same. Kitchens 2 Go. not only had the type of cabinets I wanted but also had, what appeared to be, a very good price. They began the renovation in August saying that it might be two weeks before it was finished. They didn't finish until mid-November. This work consisted of removing the old cabinets and sink, plumbing for a different location of the sink, installation of new cabinets and the refinishing of hardwood floors in a 10'X12' kitchen. I cannot recommend highly enough the craftsmanship and the professionalism of the installers and other craftsmen. However, the management of this company is quite poor. They don't know how to write a contract, They were late in starting the job and failed to inform me that there would be a delay. They do not communicate well with their customers. Because of inaccurate measuring, cabinets had to be reconfigured to fit the kitchen. I found it difficult to get them to return phone calls or meet their commitments for getting different phases of the remodel completed. They apparently forgot some of the details of the project such as pullout trash bin in the cabinets and slide out shelves for a pantry. When the last craftsman came to seal the hardwood floors he was supposed to pick up a check for the remainder of the job. I deducted $100 from the remaining total in order for them to come and finish a couple of items on the remodel. I have not heard from them since. It has been estimated that it would cost me approximately $500-$600 to complete the project. Overall I would not recommend this company for remodels but I was very satisfied with 98% of the craftsmanship.
Description of Work: Very good craftsmanship – Very poor management.
