I been with them for years now and they have been always excellent and reasonably priced.

I couldn't have asked for better service. I had them remove a 35" pine between houses, a cedar "mess" that would have taken me all day to remove myself, and two smaller 15-20' pines, as well as clean up a lot of years of needles under the big pine and the cedar. They showed up on time with 5 guys and a grinder and were done in about 2 hours. Very professional bid, pre-calls and follow up. John called me later to make sure that the job was done to my satisfaction.

J&J crew arrived on time and completed the job earlier than expected. The crew was polite, professional, and did a quality job. The price was extremely competitive. I highly recommend them.

Very well. In November, 2016, I hired them to trim three trees: a large, mature crab apple, a young mountain ash, and some lower branches on a large spruce. They did what I asked and advised me about what was needed. They cleaned up afterwards and left the trees looking better. This is the second time I have had them trim trees.

From my first phone call until the crew cleaned up and left my experience with Jand J was top notch. They sent someone out to my house to put together an estimate within a day or two of first contact. Brian came out and walked our entire property. He made a number of suggestions and explained what was going on with certain trees. He was very knowledgeable and it was clear his goal was to educate the customer so that they could make an informed decision. He wrote up an itemized bid, which made it very easy to budget.We had a few other companies come out and bid as well. The prices were all comparable, but we went with Jand J because they went the extra mile in terms of customer service and making sure we understood what our options were and why those were our options.When I called the office to set up a time to come out Lynn was very nice, as usual. She said they were about two weeks out, which was fine with us. I was a little surprised the following day when John called me and asked if they could come out in the morning. From two weeks to two days is quite nice. We were glad they could fit us in so soon and were told they would arrive at our house at 7:30am.The next morning the crew arrived slightly before 7:30 and set to work. They took down a large pine tree on one side of our house, and two pine trees on the other side. They also thinned out a spruce tree in our back yard. The spruce looked SO much better after the trimming it was almost unbelievable. The crew not only worked fast (they were done with everything by 11:30am) but they actually did more work than what was on the original bid. The large pine was in a grove of other trees so a stump grind wasn't necessary, but they did it any way. I had also cut down another bush and a small tree prior to them coming and the pieces of these were stacked on the side of the house. They ground up all this unwanted wood and even ground the stump of the bush, which was a total bonus.There was only one tree on the original bid that we elected not to remove because we wanted it for the rest of the summer to shade our grass. John came out to the site and told me that if we wanted to take it down in the winter he'd reduce the price, which was awesome and something we are likely to take him up on once the weather cools.Overall, the office staff was great, the crew worked fast, were punctual, and courteous, and I felt like I got a very good value for the money we spent.

We have used J and J for over 17 years and have been very pleased with their prices and their results. When we scheduled them they were at our house about 1 and 1/2 weeks later. They were quick and professional and did a great clean-up afterwards. I thought the work was very good. I am always surprised by their prices as they are always cheaper than the other quotes we get for the same work. I will continue to use them in the future.

Great service.  Cut down and removed dead aspen tree; nothing but a little sawdust left.  And it was very nice of them to cut off the dead branches of the remaining 4 live aspen trees; didn't ask then for that so was a bonus for me.  Will use them when the remaining aspens in the clump die.

We had a couple of trees that had a number of branches that were growing over the roof and needed to be trimmed back.  They did an excellent job trimming back those 2 trees, including removing some of the dead limbs.  We also had them trim some others trees in the backyard, which looked so nice when they finished.

The crew from J & J Tree made the taking down of our once beautiful 50 ft pine tree look effortless.  It was truly amazing to watch!!  They were so well organized and "artful" in their removal process.  It was just amazing how they took the various limbs down, using ropes that the guys below controlled, then someone else would remove the limbs from the backyard and take them to the front, eventually grinding them up.  There was 1 guy in the tree cutting it up, hanging from limbs, with his chain saw, while several others on the ground offered support.
Once the tree was cut up, then they brought in a grinder to remove the stump.  A slow, tedious process but the stump was gone when they finished.
Before they left, they not only cleaned our yard well but they also went on the other side of the fence and cleaned the neighbors yard too.

It went fine.  They applied the fertilizer in a grid around the trees - not just a few spots.

These guys ruined our 70 year old Hackberry. I asked for it to be thinned and trimmed back. Over 75% of the tree was removed. It is no longer a shade tree, it's a giant 50+ foot trunk with some branches. I told them over and over again, DO NOT remove too much, just thin it, their repsonse "OK We do good job!" I almost stopped them completely in the middle of the job, as I should of, but I could not spend 4 hours watching everything they were doing. Old growth branches that were totally healthy were just hacked off and dropped on our patio roof and gutters. I now have shingles to replace and a gutter to fix. they kept telling me "oh you have sucker branches" - sucker branches? you mean braches? I'd hope so it's a tree! Terrible job, just terrible. In my opinion they now owe me more than what I owe them for the cost of this catastrophe. DO NOT use these guys. My wife is going to cry when she comes home to see what they did.

One month later the owner called me at 7:30 in the morning to yell at me for leaving a bad review online. He then proceeded to tell me that he's been doing this for X number years and I have no idea what I am talking about. Busted shingles and a torn gutter are not opinions, he can argue all he wants about the amount that was removed and whether or not his guys listened to me, but the fact remains - this was poor service, done hastily with no regard to fix my roof and gutter until a complaint was filed. If this was addressed the first time, not one month later once he got caught, then these issues and the review could have been avoided.

I'd imagine you can find cheaper, but remember when it comes to 80 foot trees, would you want to save a few dollars and wonder what you are buying? J&J comes highly referred by all of their customers. We have used them exclusively for a few years now and our trees thrive on their care.

J&J was at my home less than 24 hours after my call to provide an estimate to do the work.  The estimate was very detailed and provided some additional information that I was originally unaware of.  After calling the office and accepting the bid, the team was at my home within two business days to do the work.  The trees were removed, the yard was left in perfect condition and the two gentlemen were extremely nice.  I am very pleased with the service and will definitely recommend them to friends and family and use them again in the future. 

Called with an estimate the following day and they were in the area that day so were able to do the work right away.  The work was done quickly and excellent clean-up.  Reasonably priced.

They have an outstanding arborist named Toby.  They do outstanding work.  I did not like them as a lawn service provider.  When I told them I was upset and didn't think the yard looked good they came out and re-did the yard.

They were excellent to deal with. They were very, very, good and their price was less than anybody else. They were very responsive when we called them and did what they said they were going to do. They came and did it quickly and cleaned up the yard and didn't leave a mess after themselves. Sometimes they were out doing work and if they weren't available they would call me back right away. They did some work that we were afraid of and what I considered dangerous. I was watching them when they were doing it and they were so good and got the work done.

Most excellent services.  J & J surveyed the area, gave me an accurate estimate, & completed all work in less than a week.  Stark contrast to other tree service companies who tout their prices, etc.  If you want prompt, professional service at a great price, this is the tree service company to hire.

I called J & J to get a bid on removing a 30-35 ft spruce tree. They were able to promptly come out and give me a bid. John and his crew were friendly and very efficient with their work. They removed the tree, ran most of it through their wood chipper and used a stump grinder to remove the remaining stump. They were very thorough with refilling the hole and cleaning their work area. I would certainly use them again.

They did a really good job. We thought they were going to have to take out a tree, and they were able to save it. They are very courteous and good to work with.

We got them off Angie's List.  They did a fabulous job.  The gentleman who came out for us was extremely pleasant.  He was very professional.  They did an excellent job.  They are bit expensive, but I think all of the arborous stuffs are pretty expensive.  Their price was pretty much middle of the road. They were wonderful. I would use them in the future.

John and his staff at J&J Tree Care did a great job. John came out to quote the job without me having to be home and left the quote at the house. The staff were friendly, hard working and FAST! The only thing I was concerned about was the noise my neighbors would have to endure, since I had a 7:30/8am slot on a Saturday morning. My yard looks so much better and John was nice enough to come back out to stake the tree they planted since that was not done the same day. I will definitely have them back to do more tree work for me.

Called Toby at J&J and explained that during the 1st major storm and following freeze, a major arm split on my Silver Maple and was being held up by another branch and with another storm coming, was afraid that arm come down and possibly do some damage to either the roof, the rain gutters or any parked car in our drive way. Received a bid the next day and when I accepted it, he first indicated that because of the storm damage, they couldn't come out for a week and they thought it would be OK. A little while later, I received a message that said they understood my concern about this 35 foot section of tree coming down and the possible damage it could cause. They sent out a crew the next day before the next storm hit and did a wonderful job cleaning up the tree, took care of all the damages and did a great clean up job, even taking all the branches that I had cleaned and bunched up the previous weekend. 2nd time we have used J&J and have recommended them to all our neighbors.

The service was fine and they trim our trees all the time.  I think their prices are a little bit better than some of the bigger companies.  I have always used them and they give specials in the area where we live in the winter time.
