Interstate Restoration Colorado – Denver

I wasn't around for the actual process, but live in the house now. Every wall and opening are crooked. Less than a month after living in the house several things (e.g., condensation pump, dryer ventilation, closet shelving) completely fell apart and/or stopped working. All products are cheap. Towel bars and door pulls were hung in strange places so all had to be switched. There is still a smoky smell in many rooms. Small repairs in the floor joists were not done. Doors don't fit and don't close properly. I've had ongoing problems with the internet because cables weren't run correctly - something the internet carrier can't fix. The contractors did not clean up after themselves - the yard is covered in nails etc. The over-spray from painting (both inside and outside, but mostly outside) was so bad it has taken HOURS to clean it all up. The only work that was done fine were the hardwood floors and the trim (railings, moldings). Warranty work has been done as minimally as possible - with workers being condescending.

Tyler Katrana was the project manager on the recent work I had to have done in my basement. Interstate Restorations was one of the companies I called to get an estimate. From the very beginning, I was impressed by Tyler's professionalism and by the amount of time he was willing to spend explaining what problems he had found. He was able to provide me with an estimate which was very reasonable when compared to another estimate for the work as well as being able to start the work immediately As with many projects where someone does an estimate crawling around in a dark and dirty (moldy) crawlspace (no vapor barrier was in place), once the work started, additional problems were identified. Tyler contacted me immediately to discuss my options so that the project wouldn't be unnecessarily delayed.  Tyler also graciously agreed to talk with the buyer to discuss the differences in the estimate the buyer got and the work Interstate was doing. I wasn't party to the conversation; however, the buyer did "sign-off" on my choice of contractors which was due to the conversation he had with Tyler. Tyler was extremely responsive to all my calls and emails about questions I had about what was going on--including evening and weekend questions. All of the different crew members I had an opportunity to meet were great and worked hard to complete the work on time. I have to say I now know more about structural wood floors than I ever thought I would and I will definitely recommend Interstate to anyone needing this kind of work performed.  The customer service Tyler provided to me was exceptional!
