It was a difficult job because of the construction of the house, which caused 2x $33/15 minutes of overage time for clearing the clogged drain. I thought the price for this part of the job was reasonable, especially since they came out within a few hours of my initial call.

The only problem is that their prices are way too high. The plumber could not get the old p trap to go back on without leaking, so he replaced it. The labor for this (about 20 min of work because of difficult access to the back of the sink) was $188, plus $34 for parts.

There was no way to finish the job without replacing the p trap because we couldn't test the sink to see if the drain was clear until it was installed without leaking.

The plumber was a super nice guy, and I didn't want to cause a hassle for him with his boss, or I would have refused to pay for the p trap.

Their customer service is great. We have had to have them come out on an emergency basis once or twice and they have been able to do that.

We have a 1950s house that did not have a sewer cleanout. We had been roto-rooting the line every 2 years through the toilet, but the company we used (Drainaway) refused to do it any more. While we were trying to get a quote to install a cleanout, a swer backup happened. Our plumber recommended Hurricane Drain so we called them. Vladimir showed up quickly and cleaned the line through the toilet (some tree roots had blocked the line). I watched him work patiently as this was a challenging job. He persistent and cleared the line in a couple of hours.
Given the good experience, the next week we hired them again to camera and locate the line so that we could find the location to install the cleanout. James came out and spent several hours trying to locate it. The locate operation was challenging due to our house being old, our information being wrong (we had been told where the line was by someone else, but the line ended up being 25 ft away from that location on a different side of the house) . He persisted and identified the location. He also provided a bid for the cleanout, and we decided to hire them for that part as well.
For the cleanout installation James and Dean came over. The diligently dug the location of the line while being careful, which was good because it turned out that our main water line was wrapped around the sewer line, and the sewer line was going into the neighbors property and under their concrete. A less careful digger would have easily broken the water line in the process. After much effort they were able to install the cleanout.
Overall I was glad that we hired this company and I found their employees to be very capable and professional, as well as personable. When we have to roto-root the line in the future we will definitely call them again.

Called late afternoon when I found water dripping from the toilet tank. Was told plumber would be dispatched ASAP. Vladimir arrived within the hour. He saw the problem immediately and reattached the hose that had come loose. I asked him to replace the broken flush apparatus on the other toilet which I had not got around to attempting myself. He fixed that problem in seconds, without even shutting off the water flow. Both problems solved in about 5 minutes.

Invoice states line "open".  When I ran the washing machine the floor drain backed up again, line clearly NOT open!
Company returned and was unsuccessful in getting the water to drain
Company left me with a $222.00 bill and more water on the basement floor than when company started job.
Profoundly unhappy with company.

This could be the worst customer service experience we ever lived through. Hurricane Drain was hired to clear a sewer line that was backing up into the basement. The tech who came to our house was sullen and sweating and complained of a headache. We don't know if he had a hangover, but it certainly appeared that way from his demeanor, behavior, and physical complaints. We asked if we needed to cover anything in the basement before he started reaming, and he said no. Later, when he pulled the reamer out of the sewer pipe, it sprayed sewage all over our basement, including the clean laundry. My husband commented that the bit on the drill/snake looked to be too large for the size of the pipe running from the house to the city sewer system, but the tech said he knew these systems. About five minutes into the job, the tech sat down and took his coveralls off half-way and sort of slumped over as if he were going to sleep. A couple of minutes later, the snake jammed. The tech yanked on it vigorously, tried reversing it, and spent several minutes trying to dislodge it forcibly. When he got it out, the bit was terribly broken as if it had chopped into something very hard. The tech packed up and said someone else would have to come. This ended up leaving us without plumbing for another day. The next day, someone else came to camera the line. That person couldn't see anything because there was damage in the pipe. He did a line locate outside so he could dig down to the area where the bit had broken off of the snake. That seemed like a good idea, except after much digging around our patio, he couldn't find anything. To make matters worse, the situation wasn't improving, but each thing Hurricane Drain did resulted in them telling us the price had gone up again. Hurricane Drain told us we would need to replace the pipe all the way out to the city sewer hookup, and they gave us a very pricey estimate. The man we spoke to seemed unfazed by the fact that this work was probably a result of their own tech's mistake. We fired them and hired another contractor. The first thing they did was to repeat the line locate. Hurricane Drain had NOT located the line correctly, hence all of the digging and disruption. The line locate was off by a matter of feet-at least three feet. When the new contractor dug down to the pipe, they found that the clay pipe was completely shattered and collapsed. We were told this was most likely the result of the first tech using the wrong size bit for the sewer outlet pipe, and that when the bit got to a seam in the pipe, it got hung up and broke the clay pipe. This was the only part of the pipe that had this kind of damage. There was no other deterioration. We never got as much as an apology or "Why did you fire us" from Hurricane Drain. Their error resulted in a massive repair job that cost over $10,000, work that was done and done well by a different company.

Absolutely a waste of my time and my money. The line was snaked but when I asked the plumber to check the connections for me and to let me see what he was doing. He told me "they're fine ma'am." I asked him how he could tell and he said "I can tell from looking at them." At that point, I knew I was wasting my time with this plumber in my house and wrote the check and told him to leave. When I called the business itself, there was a vacuum as far as customer service was concerned. There was no customer service.

They are a big company, but they give you personalized service. I have had them do several other things for me in the past and they have always done a great job. They did a good job cleaning up when they were finished and overall, I was very satisfied.
