Horn Brothers Roofing just completed installing a Gerard steel roof on my home in Evergreen. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of their work and the finished product. The tear off crew, the install crew and the gutter contractor were all excellent, and punctual. They cleaned up each and every day before departing. None of my concerns were ever discounted and more importantly, they often told me that they wanted me to be satisfied with their work. What a wonderful company who are several steps above the normal roofing contractor. I highly recommend Horn Brothers Roofing. I almost forgot to mention the professionalism of their salesperson, Matthew Williams. He educated me on the benefits of a steel roof and followed up in a timely manner. Matthew also assisted me in working through the insurance company and their field inspectors, assuring me of the best dollar adjustment, which is critical to any homeowner.

Horn Brothers has replaced a number of shake roofs in our neighborhood, so we went with them.  Very professional and courteous. Relatively expensive compared to other options, but high quality product and installation.   Project took about a week.   Job site was kept extremely clean each night.

We developed a new leak in our roof as well as having an existing leak above our garage during the September flooding.  I called on 9/12 and asked for a call back.  Due to the amount of work most everyone had to have done on their roofs I figured that it could be a while before someone came out to review what needed to be done.  It did take a while and the work was completed but what I was most upset about is the complete lack of follow up by the company.  Even if you are busy it only takes a few minutes to contact people to let them know generally when you can get back to them.  After repeated calls I finally did get a call back at the beginning of October.  Once Alex came out things were awesome.  He was very knowledgeable and stayed until he and the other technician determined the exact cause of the leak.  They couldn't complete the work at that time but since he did not need to get back into the house he was able to do the work when I was not there and I was sent a bill which was extremely convenient.  I would definitely use Horn Brothers again.

Their salesman was very, very attentive.  The crews that came were very efficient and very professional.  They cleaned up after themselves wonderfully.  The roof they have done was beautiful.  Even the inspectors said that they really did a good job.  I would recommend them 100%.  Their roof is a stone-coated metal, and they are the only ones who do it.  Their pricing were fair because they work out of line in any other roofing company.

We live in an older home with a Cedar Shake roof.  After a few decades the roof needed to be replace.  Our HOA is very defined in the materials that we could use for a new roof.  Stone Coated Steel, Architectural Asphalt, Tile and one other.  We looked at and received bids for all the various types of roofing material.
We choose the Stone Coated Steel for the look, consumer rating and underwriters ratings (class 4 for fire, hail and wind).  We choose Horn Brothers based on referrals from friends and neighbors.  
The sales, installation, service and followup were amazing!  My wife and I can easily recommend Horn Brothers.  Great People, Great Service.

They just finished the work yesterday.  They did a great job.  They tell us what is the problem and did a good job.

They did a phenomenal job and it's hard to find someone you can trust.  There are so many scams with insurance, State Farm was in cohoots with one, and tried to get me to sign for an asphalt roof, but, if I would have signed it, I couldn't have gotten my steel roof.  It's a scam.  I will never use someone off an insurance companies preferred list, it's a little arrangement they have together, you would end up with a roof, and never knew you could have gotten a more expensive roof.  The asphalt roof was $6000, the steel roof was $12,000, and the insurance proceeds were $22,000 on the roof alone.  Of course, you can't collect the difference.  I give them high ratings and would use them again if needed in the future. 

The hail storm of July 13 trashed our roof to a point where it was no longer serviceable. We were interested in a roofing system that would be visually distinctive like cedar shakes without the drawbacks. Metal roofing systems made sense as an option due to their resistance to wind and hail, their lighter weight, and their visual distinctiveness. We found that Horn Bros. had installed many Gerard roofs in Fort Collins and that their customers were almost universally pleased, both with the Gerard roof and with Horn Bros. service. The job took 4 days from start to finish. The Horn Bros. crew left remarkably little debris around the property -- in the past, we had found stray shingle pieces and roofing nails years after a re-roof. It has been our experience that contractors who pay attention to the little things typically get the big things right, and Horn Bros. certainly fits that bill. They even corrected a flashing installation problem that was missed by the folks who installed the original roof!

I would use Horn Bros. again, but this roof won't have to be replaced for quite some time! The only negative I can offer is about the cost of metal roof compared to asphalt shingles or cedar shakes -- if you are replacing a cedar roof you will likely have some additional expense beyond what your insurance company may reimburse; you'll have to determine if the other benefits of metal roofing systems are worth the expense. If your current roof is asphalt, the upgrade charge will be much higher.

They were really good. I did not really dislike anything about them. They were very conscientious. They were punctual and hardworking all day. I did not have any complaints at all. Overall they were excellent. They were very good at responding to my questions. I would definitely hire them again.

Great- they were very prompt and competitive with pricing- They got me set up with a handyman to fix the woodwork- then scheduled to get the tiles fixed and finished with the gutters. The did GREAT gutter work- very punctual. I would use them again without a problem.

I thought they did a very good job. They were able to find the problem area quite quickly and they were very clean while doing the work. The service was good also because after the job was done as there happened to be some shingles left over and they left them for me instead of taking them for themselves. They are very trustworthy.

Overall things went very well. We are pleased with the product and pleased with the job Horn Brothers did. Our rep was Keith, and he and the installation team did just what they promised. The work ethic of the installers was great--they worked from sunrise to sunset, and did a very good job with cleanup. I recommend Horn Brothers if you are buying a steel roof.

They are excellent. They bent over backwards to help us. We saved money on insurance thanks to Horn Roofing.
