The design work was excellent and initially the customer service was good. However, the execution of the design was poor. Inexperienced crews were left unsupervised through most of the project, and I spent many hours managing the crew. A major change was made to the design without explanation and without my consent. Smaller changes that were agreed upon verbally were not carried out. When the job was finished, final details and repairs were left unattended for two weeks. Repairs and a final walk-through were promised several times but the field supervisor didn't arrive for appointments. After several broken appointments, I hired other contractors to repair damage that the crew had caused to my sprinkler system. HG reimbursed me for the repairs, but only after several unreturned phone calls and emails. Overall, communication with the company owners was difficult, and customer service was very poor.
