We have several issues with this company but I will focus on the larger ones for this review. The plumber, Carlos, quoted us $120 an hour and gave us a time window of when they would arrive. After arriving an hour and a half outside of that time window they spent a lot of time sitting in the van outside our house. After 30 minutes of waiting I finally approached the van that was parked in front of my driveway and the plumber had me wait while he was on the phone. Finally, the plumber came in to fix a clogged shower and a leaky sink. The quality of work was average with some small problems but was done within 45 minutes. The plumber had to come back the next day because of a missing part. The next day the plumber arrived 2 hours after the time window set and took 10 minutes to replace the part on the sink. We received the invoice after and the plumber charged us for 5 hours worth of work. The plumber was charging us for the drive time and the time taken to fix the sink which was reasonable and came out to about 2 hours of time. The remaining three hours were partially fabricated and partially from the time spent sitting outside of the house. The plumber also bumped our prices from the quoted $120 to $175 because it was “after hours.” I asked when after hours started and he told me a time outside of the set time window. We were being charged an extra $55 an hour because the plumber showed up well after the established time window that he set. This price increase was also not mentioned until after the work was done. In addition to these major problems some others include rude comments and unprofessional behavior. We will not be using this company again and warn others to tread lightly when scheduling a time window as they are sure to be late and charge extra for it.

Well and the plumber had some ideas to prevent problems in the future.

First of all the people I talked with on the phone were very pleasant and aswered all my questions and concerns before they sent some one out. The fac that they charge a bas rate of 106.20 an hour is reasonable compared to other plumbers who wanted a flat rate of $375 plus. The job was less involved than expected and took about an hour and a halfwith a total cost of $162.00 inculding materials. A paid detailed receipt was given to my property manager and promptly sent to me for my records. | As an out of state landlord it is difficult to know presicely what needs to be done with out seeing the problem. I would defineitle recommend Good Pumbing service to anyone needing reasonable, timely and eficient services and will more that likely use them again in the future.

My water heater stopped working on Thu night. I called Good Plumbing on Friday morning, and the plumber got there by around 3 pm, which was perfect timing. He relit the pilot light, charged me $50, and was about to leave when I realized that the heater still wasn't working and asked him to recheck. He then replaced the thermocouple, which took about 30 minutes. I have no issues with the quality of the service or the timing. However, I do have a problem with the $263 I was charged to replace a $25 part. This is a $150 job, but apparently I was charged a $100 extra sucker fee for something like the initial diagnostic (which obviously did not diagnose anything), or who knows what. Will not use them again.
Response from GOOD PLUMBING SERVICE CO
"IF the part only cost $25.00 that would be fine but we also stand behind a warranty for a year that we put in. Sorry you are unhappy."

Installation was fundamentally fine.   This is a 7-year-old rental property, with a hot water heater that was mildly defective, sufficient that it needed to be replaced.   Home is fully up to current code, so the job required no additional modifications to the space.   I was out of town for an extended period and had to rely on my father-in-law, who proceeded to accept the first bid he got.  That was this bid, for $2450.   That is an exorbitant amount for this service in my area.   As I wasn't present, I'm not sure if my father-in-law was taken advantage of due to his age, of if this company is consistently so expensive.  This is about twice the cost for this service in my area.
Response from GOOD PLUMBING SERVICE CO
"The reason for the cost is you have a power vent heater not a standard heater. You may call anyone around and find out power vent heaters are more than you standard fluted heater. On top of that I am not even sure who you are because our customer was [Member Name Removed]."

We had a lot of water leaking into the ceiling and wall. I called Good Plumbing and they were able to get a technician out to our house the day I called. The technician arrived within a couple of hours of my call. He was able to locate the leak with his camera because it was in a hard to reach spot in the ceiling. Because it was in a difficult spot he expected it to take a while and be harder job to complete... which we expected. He was able to figure out an easier way to fix the leak and it only took an hour or so to complete. We were very satisfied with the technician's professionalism and his work.

Charged only $50 including call-out fee on a Saturday morning. Great guy. Also great with communication - told me about the problems with Ikea not being compatible, saving me a wasted trip.

We came home to water dripping from the ceiling in our garage. We called Good Plumbing and they immediately sent out Ed. He was so knowledgeable, prompt and quickly determined that our pipe was not broken, but that a valve was way too loose from an upstairs toilet. He quickly resolved that and inspected all the other toilets. We had broken valves and valves that weren't functioning well. He quickly replaced all the valves (4). I was very impressed with Ed's knowledge, professionalism, cleanliness, and promptness.I would definitely recommend Good Plumbing and will use them again!

Good Plumbing sent a couple of guys (Ed and Jess) since the rooter tool needed to be carried downstairs to our clean-out plug. Everyone at the company is very professional including the guys who were sent out and the lady I'd scheduled the appointment with.  I had a pretty clogged sewer pipe.  After Ed and Jess carried the rooter downstairs they got to work.  Ed focused on the sewer line while Jess looked at the toiled.  The first time into the clean-out plug, the standard root chopper tool (dual-blade tip) almost got stuck.  Ed pulled it out (with a big root ball attached) and since he hadn't made it to the main sewer line decided for another go but this time using a single-bladed tool which should have had less of a chance to get stuck.  Unfortunately, the roots were so bad in our sewer, even the single-blade tool got stuck which required both he and Jess to pull on the rooting cable.  At about this time, the rooter had a minor breakdown which required Ed to take off time to fix it in the basement which he did.  During this time, both he and Jess were very conscious about not making a mess.  After fixing the rooter, Ed and Jess managed to back out the stuck line and decided another go was not worth it.  This was done after going outside, removing the manholes, and determining (by sound) whether they had made it to the main (which they hadn't).  Rather than risk another attempt, I was given a contact with another company that specialized in sewer repairs.  The plan at this point is to scope out the line, determine where the plug is, and dig down to repair that section of line.  I appreciated the recommendation for another company and felt good about it given the good service from "Good Plumbing".  Regarding the toilet, Jess found that I needed a new flange.  He put it in, and sealed it up nice and tight.
The most impressive thing about this company, is that all of the above took about 4 hours and included a pretty good cleaning ut of my sewer (up to the plug) and a re-sealed toilet.  I was in turn only charged for parts and about half the time due to the equipment breakdown (which only required about 45 min to repair).  After the work, everything was cleaned up really nicely.  It was a real pleasant surprise to only pay $250 for 4 hours of work that included 2 full-time plumbers.  Amazing in fact!
Ed and Jess were great plumbers.  I will use them again for other miscellaneous work in the future.  Right now though, I need to follow up with the sewer repair company they recommended.
Note:  If you live in the Inspiration point neighborhood you don't get charged a trip fee!

I have hired them twice. They are really high end plumbers. I am so happy with their services that they are the only company I would hire for this particular property. They really know what they are doing.

It went OK.  I wish he replaced more than just the tower.  I guess I might have sounded cheap.  Overall I think they are in fact, good plumbers.

Had a leaking water heater. Good Plumbing inspected and recommended a new water heater. The first inspector began disassembling the faulty heater while 2 other workers came by about an hour later to install the new heater. Inspection, estimate and service were all provided promptly.

There were two guys that came out to my house, but it only took one of them to do the job. All the guy had to do was tighten a couple pipes and he charged me a really cheap fee. They were both very nice and respectful and they saved me a bundle of money.
