FRONT RANGE LUMBER

Kent, a self-professed and quot;glue expertand quot; sold me the wrong kind of glue for what I needed. That was o.k. as he said if it wasn't what I needed I could return it. So I tried to do just that. Showed up around noon the next day and was told that there were only two people in the firm that could issue a return and they were both absent from the premises. I returned again today (8/15). Again the person who could authorize my $6.99 return was not at the counter so they paged him. Nothing. They paged him again. Nothing. After about 10-15 minutes one of the clerks went into the back area to find someone and I was told the person who could issue the return was talking to someone. I waited some more. And some more. Finally the appropriate person showed but he was busy with another customer. A clerk told him I had been waiting for some time but he didn't acknowledge either the clerk or me. I waited. I was d***** determined to get my $6.99 back. I waited several more minutes. Finally my turn came and AE, whoever that is, took my receipt and credited my credit card. Didn't say and quot;sorry for the waitand quot; and only gave a very weak and quot;thank youand quot; as he turned his back and walked away.I have been doing business with Front Range for over 20 years and have spent thousands of dollars there. They are always a little more expensive than the big box stores but their expertise is usually good, the glue advice notwithstanding. I will not return to this business again. Waiting 20-25 minutes for a refund is ridiculous and their policy of not allowing the clerks to issue a refund is equally ridiculous, requiring a return visit. They may have been in business for 40+ years but they won't stay in business treating customers in this manner. There is a reason most small lumber yards are no longer in business.If you buy something there make darn sure you won't need to return it.
