I could not be more pleased with our flooring installation with Flatiron Home Solutions. Charlie, Nick and Nathan all worked with me from consult to finishing with consistent communication and updates, as well as throughout the process of installation. Nathan is a master at his craft, and the finished product looks incredible!

We used Flatiron Home Solutions for our complete bathroom refurbishment. They were extremely professional, courteous, and cost friendly. I will use Nick and his team again!

My experience with Flatiron Home Solutions was very disappointing. Nick (the owner) was very nice and told me he could have my condo floors “done in a day. Two at the most”. I had a little less than 800 square feet of luxury vinyl plank flooring and new baseboards installed. Several of the workers showed up late. One was 5 hours late on the second day and they said they’d work into the night to get it all done. I told them my neighbors would not appreciate the noise of the saw and asked them to leave at 7:30 pm on the second day, a Friday. They were only about halfway finished with the job. Over the weekend I had to live with the mess they had created and my furniture was piled in my living room. As I walked on the new flooring I noticed many areas where the floor was moving up and down. I marked all of the areas with tape so they could address the issues the following week. The problem, they said, was that I live on the ground floor and the slabs were not evenly poured when the condo was built. It wasn’t noticeable when I had carpet. They had to remove the planks and apply floor leveler, but they did not have enough to do the whole condo, so they just did some of the problem areas in the kitchen. Many planks got broken as they removed them, so they had to order more flooring in order to finish. Nick gave me a discount for my inconvenience, but my condo was a wreck for over a week. Nine days after they began my small project they called it done and had cleaners come to tidy up the mess. As they were washing the floor I noticed an area that looked different and discovered there was a hole in one of the planks that someone had filled with clear caulk, which was now a goopy mess from the water. Then I noticed more areas where the planks were nicked. Nick told me he could use a filler to fix the damaged areas. He came back the following week and attempted to color match but it is still very noticeable because the color does not match. The floors still creak, even in places where they “fixed” them. The icing on the cake was when I began having issues with my kitchen sink not draining and had to call in plumbers.The plumbers found large hardened pieces of floor leveling clogging my tee pipe, because one of the workers had dumped floor leveler into my kitchen sink drain. I told Nick about the damage that I had to pay for and he agreed to send me a check for the cost of the repair. They forgot about paying me and I had to remind them before I finally saw a check in the mail. I cannot recommend Flatiron Home Solutions. They messed up just about every aspect of the job. Nick, Tucker, Melissa, and the entire crew were simply outstanding on our kitchen remodel! Our new kitchen space is even more wonderful than we imagined, and we are so grateful for their top-quality planning, design, and craftsmanship in transforming a 40-year-old kitchen into a beautiful, modern, and efficient space for us. Flatiron is amazing and will take care of your needs to the very last detail-we will be calling on them for more projects in the future!
