Firestone Tire & Service Center

They are as good. The price is really good. I was really happy with the price but the tires I got there was kind of scrappy. The tires are great. I love their products but the service is not as good. Their guys just don’t seem they have it together.

I had an appointment with Firestone at 2000 Broadway, Denver, CO 80205 on Saturday at 1:30. I spoke with the service manager Mike to set up the appointment for an oil change, and to check on a possible oil leak as well as a hard start. At the time, he stated that they weren't too booked at that time so I could probably wait for the car if I needed to. I stated that I would be leaving it with him and needed to pick it up about 4:30 to 5:00. I had some place I needed to be at 6:00. I dropped the car off that day at 1:30. Mike informed me that he was running behind (which should not have affected me given that I had an appointment and was giving him 3 hours), but would have it ready by 5:00. I called at 4:00 to check on the progress. At that point in time, Susan informed me that my car was next to go into the shop. I told her not to do the work as I needed the car to be ready in 30 minutes to an hour and I would just come and pick it up. When I came to pick the car up, no one apologized to me or even seemed aware of the situation.

Not a very good experience. I had dropped the car off for an oil change, and had a call by 9:00AM to tell me they had found a CV boot that needed replacing. I called back and spoke with one service agent to authorize the work. Since I hadn't heard back from them by 4:00PM, I called to check on the status and they had not even started the work yet! Apparently the service agent I had spoken to had forgotten to relay the message. They told me not to worry as they would start the work immediately and would be finished by 6:00PM. When I showed up at 6:00, they were still working, and did not finish until 7:00PM. The next day I noticed a metal-on-metal rubbing noise and brought the car back in. It seems they had rushed the job and failed to replace all the fasteners and a plate had worked it's way loose. This was not an isolated incident, as I have used them once or twice before, and usually show up right on time, only to find that they are still working on my vehicle.
