Bryan took a rather botch job from a previous company and saved the day! He came almost as soon as I called. I have now enlisted him to fix my deathtrap of an electrical box! He is very nearly a superhero to small businesses like mine.

We had a GREAT experience all around with Bryan and his team! We had 3 appliances go out within 2 days and started hearing a crackling noise coming from our electrical panel. I looked up electricians in my area on Home Advisor and Bryan answered right away. I explained the problem and Bryan knew what it could be almost immediately and told me it could be potentially dangerous. I was able to get an estimate scheduled that day and he worked with my schedule and came late to diagnose the problem. Bryan and Casey were able to diagnose the problem in 30mins (we were having electrical arcing inside our breaker box and it had basically melted two breakers. We needed to replace the whole electrical panel and they said that was very likely the reason why our appliances weren't working). He gave us several different options to fix the problem. We chose an option in our price range and he had an entire estimate written up the next day. The day of the repairs Bryan, Casey, and Han were able to once again work with my schedule so I could get into the Dr :) They showed up very promptly and are a very efficient team. They moved right along on what looked like a huge undertaking and got the job done in a very timely manner; and all our "broken" appliances started working again! AND Bryan, Casey, and Han checked every outlet in our place to make sure they worked and labeled every breaker in the box. I have never lived in a place where all the breakers were correctly labeled. Also, you can pay online, which is really nice! My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend Energy By Design!

Bryan did a great job. He was easy to talk to and addressed all my questions and concerns. He was able to work out a flexible payment schedule for me. I would recommend him to anyone.

I hired Bryan Peters/Energy By Design to replace a couple of old electrical panels and perform a service upgrade. This is the short version of my experience. From the start, he recurrently no-showed or was multiple hours later than promised. He also damaged my other service lines, mounted an internal sub-panel visibly crooked because he wasn't using a level, and repeatedly left me with huge messes of drywall chunks everywhere. He blatantly failed inspection because he didn't do major portions of the agreed upon work, some of which turned out to be major safety hazards. One statement that the electrical inspector made sort of encapsulates this whole experience: "Just because it's hard, doesn't mean you don't have to do it." After the failed inspection, I politely told Bryan that I wasn't sure I wanted him to do any more work on my home, and would have to compare his latest invoice to the work he completed before I could submit payment. After a bizarre series of texts from Bryan, he then demanded payment-in-full for work that was not completed, and extra equipment that was not installed. Bryan went so far as to try to extort the money from me by provably lying about the nature of our interactions (that I happened to catch on video, by the way), and threatening a lien. He also attempted to force me to release him from liability for his work, and to agree not to pursue anything further via legal means or reviews. I refused his demand and submitted payment for the completed portions of his work only after he corrected the invoice to reflect what was actually done. I had to quickly hire another electrician to fix his numerous mistakes, and complete the work associated with his failed inspection in order to keep my power from being shut off by the utility company. Ultimately, I found Bryan's honesty, professionalism, and quality of work to be atrocious (this is somehow an understatement). The worst part is that he tries to bully his customers to get his way, which was noted in another review on HomeAdvisor. This was, by far, the worst experience I've ever had with a tradesman, period. Additionally, please note that Bryan pays/offers discounts to his customers for positive reviews on HomeAdvisor, so factor that in when doing your research.

Arrived on appointment time. Completed the job on time. Assisted in troubleshooting the charger by calling the manufacturer tech support, which was not his issue, cleaned up after the job was complete.

Wouldn't hire this guy again. Charged me way more than we had agreed on, lied on his estimate and when I asked him to fix his estimate he gave me the "I'll lien your property if you don't pay me what I'm charging". He badmouthed me with the owner and went behind my back to try to collect more money. At the end I overpaid him because he wouldn't give me a lien waiver and after counting my loses I'd prefer to pay him to get him out of my existence than dealing with this guy. Contact me if you want proof of his nasty emails or his threats. I can provide you with copies of his original estimate, what he did and what he was trying to charge, because I know he will use any excuse to make me look like a liar. I can also provide you with the owner's telephone number so we can testify of the shady way this guy Bryan operates. Stay away from Bryan.

Bryan is very knowledgeable about all things electrical, when we called him, he came out right away, and sent us a bid that day. he arrived onsite with all the pieces and parts to make our panel upgrade easy, he never had to run to the parts store for something he forgot. Not all electricians can make that claim! We told him what we needed and even added an air conditioning disconnect and he had the parts with him. He was on time and came ready to work, and answered the myriad of questions I had for him. A very positive experience I would highly recommend Bryan and his company Energy by Design

Energy by Design was 1/3 of the cost of the other company for the electrical work we needed. They were friendly, fast and did a great job! We would definitely hire them again!

He brought an electrical charger and he installed it for me and showed me how to use it and he installed and provided lights for me.
