We contracted with ECO for a new roof and it failed causing major damage to the inside of our master bedroom. We did not have a leak prior and we were replacing for fire mitagation purposes. it has been almost 3 years and they still have not repaired it. They promise to repair but have been unsucessful and now they don't even answer our emails or phone calls. We now have to sue ECO and it's owner DYLAN LUCAS -He is a crook -DO NOT USE!

Unprofessional, untrustworthy, and the work is still incomplete. We hired Eco Roof and Solar in July 2017 to repair our roof. In January 2018, the roof is still not done. Parts of the roof were re-done with extremely shoddy workmanship. We have consulted other contractors who have told us that the entire roof put up by Eco will need to be re-done. Eco also promised new decking, which was never added. Flashing is missing or incomplete in many spots. Further inspection of the roof shows areas completely uncovered, broken boards, missing gutters, and the list goes on. Additonally, Eco never completed the damaged siding beause their quote was much higher than originally promised. After our extreme disappointment with the person who was handing our project, Eco directed us to another manager to help finish the job. Upon trying to reach him, he will be in Florida for the next month. If you want ****-poor workmanship, no communication, high prices, and overall terrible experience, hire Eco Roof and Solar for your next project. Hopefully, no other members out there make the same mistake we did. If you want a roof over your head, hire someone else.

This was the first time I have ever had to file a claim with my insurance. Jeremy McHenry went above and beyond to assist me in the process. Not only did he walk me through the entire process, but he walked me around the property after the roof was installed to explain what they did. They office staff was extremely friendly, and I will be recommending ECO to all my friends and family.

ECO Roof and Solar did an amazing job on our roof. Chuck went out of his way to make sure we understood the process and worked with our insurance so we didn't have to.

We selected this company after checking out several companies. We looked at their certifications, their BBB ratings, and online reviews. We hired Eco to do the roofing and sub-contract the siding repairs. Though we had fall weather complications, the project manager would go for weeks without contact. The roof install was done in October of 2014, and initially seemed to be fine. Upon closer inspection (during repairs to the siding installation in the summer of 2015) we discovered that the flashing was sloppily installed with bends and gaps in several places. This repair was completed under warranty at the end of September, 2015. In early May, 2015, upon requesting a copy of the invoice from Eco, and what they had sent to the insurance company, we discovered several items that were submitted to the insurance company that we had decided not to repair (garage door, screens, etc.), and Eco listed themselves as the general contractor for the painting, which was not the case. We had elected to hire the painting company ourselves. It took a conversation with the insurance company and with Eco to get them to submit a correct invoice that listed, accurately, what work and costs they were responsible for. The siding installation that Eco Roof and Solar subcontracted was a disaster. It took weeks to get the correct siding ordered, because the PM told us that a matching siding was no longer available. He ended up taking a piece of siding in the fall of 2014 twice (we had to seal up the space to prevent moisture damage because he left it open to the elements) to send to the insurance company because the first sample was too small. The insurance company responded with a product that was, in fact, available and matched the existing siding well enough. Then the problems really started. The siding subcontractor replaced the siding in the spring of 2015. We gave them manufacturer's instructions, which detailed correct installation (including gaps between the siding). There was a cursory nod to knowing this information, and installation proceeded. Once the siding was installed, we requested they return to better caulk around windows and other edges. Once this was done and we THOUGHT it had been installed correctly, we had the house painted. Within two weeks, after several rain storms, the siding buckled. Initially we were told by Eco that the siding would straighten out after it dried. After many contacts with Eco, (and once being told by the PM to contact the siding subcontractor ourselves), and discussions with the siding manufacturer we learned that the siding had clearly NOT been installed correctly, and that the warranty would not be covered by the manufacturer. In the meantime, we were being pressured to pay the final payment for the siding installation. It was only after we forwarded this warranty information from the manufacturer to Eco that they got active about getting repairs done. At 8 o'clock one Saturday morning at the end of May, we discovered the siding crew, unannounced, with their ladders up against the side of the house preparing to cut spaces into the siding. When asked about their plans, and what would happen to the new paint job, the reply was, "Do you have paint?" It seemed their plan was to simply cut gaps, caulk and walk away. At this point we told Eco that we did not want any work being done on our house without our prior approval. Fast forward many weeks. Eco sent out a different subcontractor to complete the repairs (the previous siding contractor was no longer being utilized by Eco) and upon their review of the situation they discovered many problems. The siding had NOT been nailed into the studs, which required them to have to re-nail almost all of the siding pieces, caulk, and repaint. The caulking that had been done had been surface-only, and not deep enough to actually fill gaps. The small strip under some windows above the porch roof was not even nailed into place at all! This new subcontractor had to cut the siding, install metal expansion joints, re-caulk, and then re-paint the siding. Final repairs were finally completed in September of 2015. Needless to say, we will never use Eco Roof and Solar in the future.

Many roofing companies cut corners on re-roofing a mid- century modern home, but not Eco Roof and Solar. It was a challenge as the roof is part of the unique architectural features of the home, and because there is no attic, securing the roof without putting hundreds of nails through the ceiling, on which the roof sits, is no easy matter. They used only the highest quality materials, very professional crews that wasted no time and whose workmanship was outstanding. The end result was the roof line was not altered thereby reducing the value of the home, the use of commercial roofing materials means it will last for years, and the house is 20 degrees warmer inside. All this for the house and detached garage at a price competitive with the eight other bids I had received , but for less work and lesser quality materials. They did a fabulous job. If you have a mid-century modern or any home with a unique roof, these are the people to use. If t hey are this good imagine how good a job they will do on a regular pitched or flat roof.i would use them again and happily recommend them to anyone considering a roof repair or replacement. Mark, their representative is great, honest and a delight to work with on this project. He visited the site, even climbing on the roof to insect the work, on virtually a daily basis to ensure quality. I can't say enough about his devotion to ensuring the job was done right.

Eco Roof & Solar was contracted by my HOA to replace the roofs of 6 buildings in the condo complex where I live this past spring.  This was a large project that involved substantial inconvenience for residents, however, I have nothing but praise for the manner in which ER&S managed the entire affair.
Communication: They clearly communicated their game plan with residents ahead of time by distributing notices and maps to each unit a week prior to construction starting.  The maps were clear and concise, indicating alternative parking and building access points during build-out with clear timeframes for impact on each building.  I'd go so far as to say if our HOA board communicated with residents half as well as Eco Roof & Solar did, we'd have much happier residents!
Professionalism: There was always a foreman onsite and available to talk to with homeowners about questions or concerns.  I had a unique situation in that I have a LOT of plants on my deck that I could not remove as per their request--I talked with the foreman and they were able to modify their set-up to cover my deck with protective tarping to protect my plants.  Their flexibility and willingness to work with my limitations and protect my property was very much appreciated.
Quality:  Crews arrived promptly each morning at 7 am and worked their butts off for the duration of 12-hour shifts, 6 days a week for the 3 week duration of the project.  I had no idea how much work was involved in roof replacement or what noisy and messy work it was.(shingle debris gets everywhere!)   Crews took great care to clean-up the shingle debris on the ground and even went through with cherry-pickers to pull debris out of our pine trees along the perimeter.
I was very impressed with their conduct throughout the project and have great appreciation for their making the entire experience (which was not easy under the best of circumstances) as pleasant as it possibly could be. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up for this business.

Just the facts:  In SIX WEEK'S time, Shawn Standifer and ECO Roof & Solar accomplished what we've spent the last 2 years attempting to do (with other roofing companies)--getting our whole roof replaced for our $1,000 insurance deductible!!!  And now our elderly next door neighbors, are having the same success with Shawn!
The details:  Our area (C-470 & Bowles) has gotten hit on several occasions by some crazy wind & hail storms over the last 2-3 yrs. In the fall of 2011, when we developed a leak, and again in the fall of 2012, when another larger leak in a different area caused more interior damage, our insurance company sent an adjuster to evaluate our claims.  On both occasions, the results were the same. They offered to pay approximately $2,500 after our $1,000 deductible for the "minor repairs" but no total roof replacement.
When SHAWN STANDIFER knocked on our door 3 months ago (May 2013) we had lost hope.  We knew the roof needed replacing, so we had checked into home improvement loans to pay for the roof ourselves.  By the time Shawn left, he had us convinced to give it one last try.  We called our insurance company & asked that the 2nd claim be re-opened (since we didn't accept their payout offer). Once Shawn got on the roof with the adjuster it was a done deal.  If not for our HOA taking 4 weeks to approve of our roof color, our roof could have been done the following week!  Shawn was so attentive & communicated with us every step of the way.  On a side note, we had purchased solar panels 3 yrs prior from a company that has since gone out of business.  We were SO happy that ECO was able to remove our solar panels & re-install them once the roof was done without jeopardizing our solar panel warranty.  They even suggested a much better panel mounting system that wouldn't involve 46 holes in our new roof and the insurance company agreed to it at their expense!!!
We were so pleased with Shawn and ECO Roof & Solar that I asked Shawn to see if he could help our next door neighbors.  The saga with their (different) insurance company was much worse than ours, but I'm happy to report THEY are getting their roof replaced too!!!
Bottom Line:  If you think your roof has damage, contact SHAWN STANDIFER and ECO Roof & Solar.  Shawn will give you an honest assessment.  If he thinks your roof needs replacing, he will work his heart out to get that roof for you!!

They did a great job, I'm done with them. What they really helped me with is working through the insurance claim, my insurance claim initially was 3 sides of the roof for asphalt and in the end when it was all worked out with the insurance because we had people who just worked with the insurance company, I had 4 sides of concrete, that's why I hired them. I thought they're really good about it and then also they were pretty much on top of it, when they found out I had a leak, they were there the next day when it was supposed to rain and they patched up the roof. They didn't get it right the first time, they had to do adjustments but then they came back and did the adjustments and made it right.

We are not happy. They’ve had to send several people over to fix things and it’s still not done. We found out there was flashing missing, which we would have never noticed ourselves. We are thinking about having another company taking a look at it. I would let others know that they should get more than one estimate.

They were terrific. They were very patient with everything including the weather delays.   The service was fabulous. They showed up on time and they cleaned up. They were everything you want in a provider. The saleswoman I had, Jessica, was out there almost every day throughout the project and worked; she got supplies and she noted when things were wrong. Everyone was very professional. It was a very easy process. I would highly recommend them.

It was fantastic and they did a fabulous job. I worked with Mike Lobdell; he was easy to work with and is a very pleasant man. He gets things done when he says he is going to get things done and he always stayed in contact. I am having them come back to put some insulation in tomorrow.
