I used this garage for a number of years but they started getting a little pricey and the quality seemed to be declining.

They got the car at 8:00 am and were finished by 2:00 pm as I left the car with them. The workmanship was great and communication I had with the front office went fine.
I have used Downing Street Garage for a very long time. What I like most about them is the trust we have established. So many times you don't know whether to trust a mechanic regarding a repair. I never have that issue with Downing Street. When I leave my car with them I know it will get the service it needs and the work will be of high quality.
Last year when I had a water pump go bad after less than a year of use, they replaced it without cost. Customer satisfaction is of primary importance to Downing Street, I highly recommend them.

My experience was not awful, but they just seem very high priced. It may be coincidental, but each time I have been in, another customer has been in a billing dispute with the company. I cannot judge whether the customer had a legitimate basis for being angry with the bill, but it was a cause for concern. My bills seemed high but not enough to argue. I am just weary of going back.

I swear by them. They are a perfect company in that they genuinely care about your car. I think it’s similar to a doctor/patient relationship, and they are just spectacular. I would highly recommend them.

Downing Street Garage is excellent! I have a Mazda, and I only take my car there when I can't find a qualified mechanic in my neighborhood. I previously owned a car that had an electrical problem, and they were able to fix it. It is always a pleasure to find someone that actually knows what is wrong with your car, that is what I love about this garage. They are really wonderful. Their prices are probably medium to high, but considering the service it isn't bad. They speak English. The quality is good, they seem to be very busy. They do a good job getting the car fixed on time.

Not well. When I made the appointment for them to check the problems I was having, there was NO mention of up front "inspection" charges in addition to the charges for the work to be done. For the front end, the charge was $115 and for the oil leak, $130. The $115 would be credited towards any work done, but the oil leak check would be charged no matter what. When I brought up that we were not told about these charges during the first call, the owner had no reply other than 'sorry.' This garage prides itself on ethical standards and community service, but we found this stance a little hollow with the way they handled our visit. The shimmy is gone, the oil is changed, and the oil leak, which I refused to repair because they quoted me a price of $1700 (!) to fix, has stopped since the oil change.

"I AM NOT SURE WHAT THIS CUSTOMER MEANT WHEN HE STATED WE DID NOT QUOTE HIM A PRICE. I KNOW WE DID BEFORE WE DID ANY WORK. HE MAY HAVE THOUGHT THE INSPECTION WAS FREE WHEN MAKING HIS APPOINTMENT. IF HE HAD ASKED THE PRICE WHEN HE MADE THE APPOINTMENT WE WOULD HAVE TOLD HIM. OUR ESTIMATES ARE ALWAYS IN WRITING AS REQUIRED BY THE COLORADO MOTOR VEHICLE REPAIR ACT."
