Design Platform

We had a terrible experience with Design Platform. The design process was delayed, overbilled, and unoriginal. Ultimately, we went with a design that we provided and they still tried to bill us nearly $10K for design work that was not their own. The owner, Jonas DiCaprio, has refused any and all communication with us since cashing our first deposit check. The build process was marked by delays, lack of communication, and shoddy work. Paint is mismatched, the upper cabinets were not hung properly, and the little finish work they did is amateurish. They have now completely abandoned the project, did not pay the subcontractors for the electrical, drywall, plumbing, or countertop work, and have been writing bad checks to their subcontractors. We know this because we have stayed in touch with those companies and have copies of the statements of insufficient funds from their banks. Meanwhile, Jonas DiCaprio has refused any contact with us, our attorney, or the Better Business Bureau in our collective multiple attempts to find a resolution to their failed work. This should have been a simple remodel that should have taken no more than six weeks. We began working with Design Platform in September of 2018 and it is still not completed (as of March 2019). We recommend that you avoid this firm in the strongest terms.
