Gary is a good listener and a hands-on problem solver. Turns out that the problem was a weak signal in the basement where the printers are located. Printers were physically moved to another part of the basement and all connections and functions were re-established.

I am in my 60's and do not have the energy or inclination to try to figure out all the information I needed for my Mac--I wanted someone to teach me.  Gary was prompt, extremely knowledgeable, and professional.  I had a list of questions and he was able to answer every one as well as solve some problems I was experiencing.  Gary is a natural teacher and understands the importance of letting the "student" actually try things out instead of just watching him.  He really, really knows his Apple/Mac and is a wealth of information...so much so that we went well over the 1.5 - 2 hours I had hoped to pay for.  This was not his fault as I could have said "enough" at any point; I kept thinking I would tell him to stop soon, but he was so knowedgeable and I kept thinking of more questions!  The "cost of service" above includes an external hard drive I purchased. I had looked at back-up systems in various stores but found the options too overwhelming to make a decision.  After hearing his recommendations, I decided to buy an external hard drive from Gary and felt confident taking his advice.  He also provided email support the next day when I had a couple of follow-up questions.  All in all, well worth the expense and highly recommended!

Gary showed up on time, listened to the noise the computer was making and gave a preliminary diagnosis. He had to take it back to his shop to work on it but was able to deliver it, working well, the next day.

I can't stress enough that we have had Gary work on all our our computers many times and he has been instrumental in keeping some older machines running successfully. He's a really great guy and I recommend him heartily.

The Mac is elderly and Gary has kept it running for me. This time he traced the problem to the power supply on an external hard drive (which he took away to see if he can find a new one). While he was here he also set up a new printer on our wifi network. Gary is resourceful, patient, personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs help with a Mac.
