COLORADO GARAGE DOOR SERVICES

BEWARE-I recently had Colorado Garage door service come out to replace a spring on my garage door. They advised me that I should replace all 3 springs and that it would be $600. The price seemed high, but my garage would not open and they could come within the week. Fast-forward a week and the garage door is fixed but they left me a bill for $1052! Wow! Yesterday I reached out to them to discuss the bill and voiced my concern about the egregious amount charged. The response was we did the work, pay your bill! I am all about paying the $600 quoted, but they now say that is just the cost of 3 springs! No labor at all. An additional $452 to put them in?? I looked on home advisor and see garage springs are typically $30-$75/each. Even if mine are the $75 ones, they marked up the springs to $200 each?? Home advisor says this total repair should cost $150-$300 in 2021 as shown in the pic. Charging $1052 is ridiculous and monopolistic in my opinion. I would stay clear of these guys as they clearly are taking advantage of people post-covid.

Did not try to sell me another garage door, With some hunting the service man determined that the house had shifted which lowered the beam over the door. He planed it for me and charged only for the trip, The service was available the next day instead of next week or month like most of the others. The gentleman was very professional, pleasant and competent. He was punctual and got right to work. He explained clearly what was wrong and what needed to be done. I will use them again as/if needed.

I was given an appointment window of 12-2pm. Terry arrived at 12:15, I showed him to the garage, and within 30 minutes he had identified and corrected the problems. He was friendly and professional and obviously very good at his job.
I will definitely recommend Colorado Garage Door Service.

I have used them a number of times to buy parts.  They give you the informaiton you need.  You can buy the parts or even have the install them for you as well.

For a few weeks, the garage door wouldn't close smoothly. Called Friday to set up appointment; was told to expect a dispatcher to call Monday AM. Dispatcher called Monday to set up appointment for Tuesday, between 11A-1P. George from Colorado Garage Door Services arrived at about 11:30. For those who care, he was wearing a shirt with the company logo as well as his name. After I explained the problem, George said it was the spring, which he could adjust. He demonstrated the tension was such that the door wouldn't stay down when the opener was disengaged. George said he wouldn't recommend new springs, but he would install them if I wanted. After a few adjustments, everything was fine. George replaced light bulbs and showed me what kind of lubricant to buy for the doors.

Checked the door to see what was wrong and then adjusted the spring as it was binding up and lubed all the parts.. Works great now.

They got it fixed right away and we didn't have any issues. They were professional and got the job done pretty quickly. I was surprised that it wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg.

I called Colorado Garage Door Services on Wednesday because my garage door decided it didn't want to work in the sub-zero weather. I spoke to a very nice, professional man who asked me to describe the problem. He then scheduled my appointment at the time I requested, Friday 9-11 AM. (I could have scheduled it for the next day.) Someone called on Thursday to confirm my appt. for the following day. Terry arrived at 11 AM and initially thought maybe the motor had burned out, but said he would look at the capacitor first before making that call. He worked on the door for about an hour and had everything working beautifully at the end of the hour. He said that the door was too heavy for the setting, so he adjusted that tension so that the door will stop anywhere along the path and not crash into the floor, like it had been. He replaced the capacitor and checked everything out. He was extremely nice and friendly. The bill was less than I expected. I was given a price only for the service call since we had no idea what the problem was. This is my second great experience with Angie's List, both on the same day!

Tech showed on time, diagnosed the problem immediately and got to work right away. Professional, efficient and everything done right the first time.

I was impressed from start to finish. Alan was quite courteous over the phone in arranging appointments that had to be moved because of a blizzard. Duane arrived on time, was efficient, courteous, and actually delightful to hang around, with a great sense of humor. He taught me several things about the door, safety, the electrical system and options for wiring, simple maintenance, future considerations, and use patterns. The price was exactly as was quoted, and my warranties were explained. I have to admit that the hour he was here was enjoyable, I learned a lot, AND my garage door works great!!

I was very pleased with their service from setting the appointment to completion of the job. They called to remind us of the appointment and even though it was a window between 11:00-1:00, they got here at 11:15 and were done by noon. The serviceman was extremely polite & friendly. The door works great now!

Broke spring last night. Called this morning (Good Friday, no less), and they had a tech already in a nearby suburb, so we got added to his work list. Terry was very pleasant and professional, and all work was performed quickly and without incident. Found Colorado Garage Door on Angie's list and they deserve the ratings they currently have! Would recommend them and will use them again if needed.

DENNIS, THE SERVICEMAN, ARRIVED PROMPTLY AT OUR HOME. HE WAS VERY COURTEOUS & PROFESSIONAL. HE EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING & HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE HIM. I ALSO SHOWED HIM THE OTHER GARAGE DOOR TO MAKE SURE IT WAS OKAY. HE WAS VERY WILLING TO DO THIS.
