In the late 1940’s in West Virginia, Chancey & Sons started as a carpet and upholstery cleaning company headed by our Grandpa Chancey and Grandma Chancey. Their son, Jim Chancey, learned the secrets to the trade and expanded the company to Colorado. Once in Colorado, Chancey & Sons started a property restoration division. Greg Chancey, Jim Chancey’s son, saw this division as a separate entity and started All Dry in the early 1990’s. Today, both companies are known as one entity, Chancey Enterprises, and are under the same roof and working together on property restoration and reconstruction services. The team did show up on time the second go-around. After walking around the house and determining it would cost $30 extra for 2 additional vents (a fair price), they got to work. They tried to pry off one of my vents and said that they couldn't because it was painted over. They told me they'd clean everything from below, in the crawlspace, and that it would be just as effective.
I have no idea how effective they were. All I know is that two days later, every time the furnace comes on, fine dust is spraying everywhere. I wake up in the morning and my throat is sore and my house house is filthy, with a layer of black dust over everything. It seems like they just stirred everything up but didn't vacuum everything out like they said they would. Also, I saw no evidence of them sanitizing anything which does not necessarily mean they did not sanitize. However, if they had, I imagine I wouldn't be having to clean off dust every morning. In retrospect, I should have canceled the service as soon as they told me they couldn't get the vents off and hired someone else.
wanted the ducts to be cleaned. I purchased the 199 deal and then called
2 weeks before our closing to set up the duct cleaning on the 21st of
January at 9:30 am. At 7am on Monday the 14th I got a call from Chancey
& Sons stating they were at the home to do the duct cleaning and no
one was there. I told them I had set up the appointment for Monday the
21st because we did not close on the home until the 18th. Luckily the
house was vacant and they did not wake/bother anyone there. They
apologized and said they would see us on the 21st.
On January 21st, 9:30 came and went. I called Chancey & Sons and asked when the
duct cleaners were going to be here to do the scheduled cleaning. I was
told they were on another job and it was taking them longer than they
thought and that they would be here around 11:00.
The duct cleaning crew arrived and apologized for running late. They were professional and did a great job.
However, the person who does the scheduling needs to find a new job because they
stink at it. When I called on the 21st I am not sure that they had us
down for the appointment (just guessing by the way the person on the
phone reacted) and it seemed like they scrambled to fit us in.
If you do use this company, I would call and verify your appointment several times to make sure they have it down correctly.
